All the Movies to Watch in Netflix’s Geeked Week 2022

Netflix’s Geeked Week 2022 continues with full steam on its 2nd day, and this time the focus is on movies that will be coming out on the platform pretty soon. Of course, as one of the most anticipated movies of 2022, The Gray Man was the 1st movie that was the subject of today’s panel with an interview with the directors, the Russo Brothers. Apart from the interview, we also got to see an exclusive clip, which you can watch here.

Spiderhead

Spiderhead, starring Chris Hemsworth and Miles Teller, is a science fiction film based on the short story “Escape from Spiderhead” written by the American writer George Saunders. 3 weeks before the beginning of Netflix’s Geeked Week 2022, we already got a glimpse of the movie with an officially released trailer, which also specified the release date, June 17. Today, the presenters of the Geeked Week introduced Spiderhead as “Maniac meets Squid Game with just a dash of Black Mirror” and shared an exclusive clip from the movie, which you can watch below.

Day Shift

An exclusive inside look into the vampire movie Day Shift, which stars Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, and Snoop Dogg, was also introduced on Day 2. In the video, you can see interviews with Jamie Foxx and the producer of the movie Chad Stahelski. You can also see never seen before behind the scenes footage which sheds light on the process of shooting an action film. The movie will come out on August 12. The Sea Beast

Another movie that received special attention on Geeked Week 2022 is The Sea Beast, an animated movie that will be released in theatres and on Netflix. The official trailer was introduced by The Boys actor Karl Urban who voices the character Jacob Halland, a great legendary sea monster hunter. Urban also gave important news regarding the film’s release date, July 8. Watch the official trailer for The Sea Beast:

Wendell & Wild

Wendell & Wild, another animated movie, will also be with us this year on Netflix. The film is voiced mainly by the former comedy duo Jordan Peele and Keagan-Michael Key. The movie will come out in October 2022, so we don’t have a trailer yet, but we were blessed with a sneak peek during the Geeked Week!

Blasted

Netflix’s Geeked Week 2022 was significant for 2 Norwegian films, one is Blasted and the other Troll. Blasted is a sci-fi comedy involving the UFO phenomenon. The 1st official trailer for the film was introduced today, with the release date being clarified. The movie’s release date is June 28. Watch the official trailer for Blasted below:

Killer Book Club

Killer Book Club, El club de los lectores criminales in Spanish, is another upcoming Netflix movie. It is about a clown who hunts down the book club members. The release date of the film is not known yet. The only new information released in Netflix’s Geeked Week about this movie was a short video from the cast members who introduced the concept of the series in a very creepy and mysterious atmosphere. Starting from the 10th minute of this video, you can watch the special intro with English subtitles. We also present you with the original Spanish version of the video:

Interceptor

Interceptor (Released on June 3)

Interceptor was already released on Netflix on June 3, but Geeked Week still gave us something special, an interview with the star of the movie Elsa Pataky. She told us that she trained for 6 months for the film since it is a movie with a lot of action, so the actress devoted herself to the process. Pataky plays an army captain who faces a big challenge when the station she is in command of gets attacked. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, the official trailer will give you an idea.

Troll

The last movie you can watch after the Geeked Week is the Norwegian fantasy drama Troll, directed by Roar Uthaug. The film is about a creature who wakes up from a 1000-year-long sleep and starts to destroy everything on its way. Today we got the chance to watch the 1st official teaser for the upcoming movie, whose release date, unfortunately, was not specified on Netflix’s Geeked Week 2022.
