Netflix Geeked Week finally gave us what we have been waiting for for 2 years, an official teaser for Warrior Nun Season 2. The show’s 1st season came out in July 2020, and only 6 weeks after its release, Warrior Nun was renewed for a 2nd season. The filming for Season 2 started in July 2021 and ended in November. We had no idea about what Season 2 was going to bring us until Netflix Geeked Week came to our rescue. Now, we have an official teaser.
Before Season 2 comes, we need a refresher on Season 1, as most of you probably forgot what happened there. Here is a brief Warrior Nun episode guide.
Warrior Nun Episode Guide
Ep.1: Nuns at a church put a halo into the dead body of a young girl named Ava while they were under attack. Ava wakes up and realizes she can walk now. The halo belonged to the last Warrior Nun Shanon, who died under an attack from armed mercenaries. Ava explores the city while discovering her newly-found powers.
Ep.2: We are introduced to ArqTech, a technology company run by Dr. Salvius, who uses a holy relic to open up a portal to another dimension. Ava goes to the party and is attacked by a Tarask from hell, and the nuns save her while Mary searches for the truth behind Shannon’s death.
Ep.3: Father Vincent starts Ava’s training at the church while Mother Superion tells her that she committed suicide. Ava refuses and later runs away from the church. Mary learns that the armed mercenaries attacked only Shannon, which was an assassination.
Ep.4: Ava realizes that she was killed by Sister Frances and is now likely to kill her friend Diego. She goes there to save him and kills Frances. Lilith finds Ava and tries to take away the halo from her. Mary learns that Shannon had a secret place that only she could phase through with her Warrior Nun powers.
Ep.5: Mary comes to save Ava from Lilith’s attack. As Ava tries to run away from both of them, they are attacked by the tarask, who wants Ava’s halo. Trying to stop the seizure of the halo, Lilith is impaled by the tarask and disappears.
Ep.6: Mary and Ava go to a village that was the site of a widespread demonic possession. Ava sees how everyone is grateful toward Mary. Ava sees that a demon possesses a man in the village. Mary and her fight together to save him, and they succeed.
Ep.7: Mary, Beatrice, and Father Vincent are all reassigned outside the Order by Cardinal Duretti. Ava decides to return to the church, where Mary convinces her to walk through Shannon’s room to see the secret room. Ava finds an ancient book that says a secret is buried under the Vatican. Lilith mysteriously comes back.
Ep.8: The ancient book mentions the secret beneath the Vatican is the angel Adriel’s bones, who gave his halo to the 1st warrior nun and became a mortal. Mary believes Shannon knew about these bones, and that’s why Duretti killed her. The gang goes to the Vatican, as Ava promises she will be the last warrior nun.
Ep.9: Lilith has turned into an agent of hell as she tries to stop Ava from going into the secret place in the Vatican. However, she is stopped by Mary before she can become dangerous. Ava manages to go into the secret place. She finds not only a lot of divinium but also Adriel himself.
Ep.10: Cardinal Duretti is chosen as the new pope. Adriel is revealed to be a demon who wants the halo. Ava knocks him out for a short period. Dr. Salvius’ sick son goes through the portal. As a significant twist, we learn that Father Vincent serves Adriel, and he was the one who killed Sharon. Adriel summons demons who possess the Vatican’s civilians, and the episode closes as they swarm Mary.
