Ever since The Boys Season 2 aired in September 2020, all we have been wondering is The Boys Season 3 release date. The show’s 1st and 2nd seasons were released in 2019 and 2020 respectively, so we were expecting the 3rd season to come out in 2021. That did not happen…

The show quickly became one of Prime Video’s best content, becoming more popular with its 2nd season. The Boys is an unusual story about different superheroes and a group of vigilantes (the boys) aiming to bring the former down because most of these superpowered individuals are corrupt and arrogant, using their powers for their own self-interest. These superheroes in question are in a group called The Seven, which works for a company called Vought International that promotes and monetizes the heroes.

Our boys, in return, fight against The Seven in order to bring out into the open the real identities of the superheroes. The group consists of Hughie Campbell, whose girlfriend was killed by one of the members of The Seven called A-Train. The leader of the group is Billie Butcher, and the other members are Mother’s Milk (a tactical planner), Frenchie (weapons specialist), and Kimiko (a superpowered test subject who manages to run from Vought).

The Boys Season 3 Release Date

Amazon Prime Video released the trailer for the new season of The Boys on March 12, making us realize how much we missed seeing our favorite characters. As you watch the trailer, towards the end you can see the phrase: The Boys New Season June 3. Okay, this seems like good news, we have an official release date but let’s not get too caught up. According to the IMDB page of the series, only the first 3 episodes of the new season will come on June 3. The remaining ones will be coming once a week until the 8th of July. So, the timeline is going to be like this:

• The first 3 episodes are on June 3.
• Episode 4 is on June 10.
• Episode 5 is on June 17.
• Episode 6 is on June 24.
• Episode 7 is on July 1.
• And the final episode of the season is on July 8.

What is Diabolical The Boys?

The Boys was so successful that they decided to make an animated spin-off series called The Boys Presents: Diabolical. The series is an anthology series, so every episode follows a different story. Especially, the voice cast of the series is crazy, as it involves so many Hollywood stars including Andy Samberg, Seth Rogen, Awkwafina, Kumail Nanjiani, Don Cheadle, and more.

The 1st season has 8 episodes, all of which were released on Prime Video on March 4, 2022. And the reason the series is called Diabolical is a reference to The Boys character Billie Butcher who always uses the phrase “f***ing diabolical” to describe situations that are indescribable.

After finishing a 15-season-long Supernatural in 2020, Jensen Ackles now plays Soldier Boy, a parody of Marvel’s Captain America. Soldier Boy is the first superhero in The Boys universe, earning popularity after fighting in World War II. His powers are quite similar to that of Captain America, as he even has a shield, shown in this photo in The Boys’ official Twitter account. He is now an official part of The Boys cast, but we do not know whose side he is going to be on and if he is going to be in Season 4 as well.

Starlight whose real name in the series is Annie January, played by Erin Moriarty, has become one of the favorite members of The Boys cast for the fans of the show. Starlight looked so innocent and full of trust when she was accepted into The Seven and of course, she was heartbroken when she find out the true characters of the other heroes. She did not hesitate to switch to the team of Butcher and Hughie which caused her to be thrown out of The Seven for a period of time. While having a romantic relationship with Hughie, Starlight still continues to work for The Boys and is part of The Seven.
