If you’re wondering about the filming locations of Heartland, the number one series of horse lovers, you’re in the right place. Of course, all the viewers who watched the series know that the series was shot in Canada. But studying these locations in more detail will be great for those who love the series. Here are all the filming locations from season 1 to 15.
High River, Alberta
The places where the series was shot are so beautiful that there may have been times when we couldn’t focus on the series because of watching the scenery in some scenes. Heartland is mostly filmed around the High River in Alberta, Canada. The town of High River is the place referred to as Hudson in the series as a fictional television town. It’s even the location where Lou Fleming is trying to be mayor. This small town in Southern Alberta even has a visitor center that informs filming locations.
Highwood Museum, High River
In addition, the Highwood Museum in this town accompanied many scenes of Heartland. You can go here and visit the museum for free. There are some iconic items used in Heartland, such as Ty Borden’s iconic leather jacket and Amy’s pair of shoes. It is a great place to feel yourself in a scene of Heartland. Also, in some scenes, we see the Rocky Mountains as a background in the series.
Heartland Ranch is located in the west of Millarville, Alberta. But unfortunately, you don’t have the chance to visit it. Because it has an owner and the owner only allows the crew and actors to enter here during the shooting of the tv series.
Maggie’s Diner, High River
As for whether Maggie’s Diner is a real place, it’s a real building. But it’s a fictional place. The interior is designed only for shooting series or movies. It’s just a set. So you can’t just go in and order yourself a meal here. But when the series is not filming, you can go there and look through the windows.
In addition, due to a flood that occured in this place in 2013, the series’ seventh season was rewritten so that the filming location of the series would not change.
Evelyn’s Memory Lane, High River
This is a diner located on High River’s 4th Avenue that looks like Maggie’s Dinner. Here you can have the best ice cream and lunch in town. Don’t worry, this place is not fictional like the other restaurant. We watched the cattle drive in Heartland Season 4 on this street.
George Lane Park
George Lane Park is another location that accompanied the shooting of the show. We have an important scene here. This scene is where Amy Fleming’s high school graduation ceremony takes place.
Bragg Creek, Alberta
This town has opened the door to some scenes of the show. In one scene, Amy comes out of the cafe, where she notices a woman singing her grandmother Lyndy’s song. This scene was shot in Bragg Creek, Alberta.
MILLARVILLE ANGLICAN CHURCH
This is where Lou and Peter got married in Heartland Season 3. The interior of the church is completely empty and you can visit this place with peace of mind.
