Differences Between Heartland Season 16 and Heartland Season 15!

The first episode of Heartland Season 16, titled “Something’s Got to Give,” aired on October 2, 2022 on CBC and had fans of the series glued to their seats after the hiatus. But something was strange about the new season and it didn’t attract as many viewers as the previous seasons. But why? In this article we’ll make a comparison between Heartland Season 16 and Heartland Season 15 and decide which one is better. So without further ado, let’s get started!

Why People Hate Heartland Season 16?

Why People Hate Heartland Season 16?

The unexpected death of Ty Borden broke the hearts of horse lovers in Heartland Season 14.

The unexpected death of Ty Borden, meaning the sudden departure of Graham Wardle from Heartland, broke the hearts of horse lovers in Heartland Season 14. In Season 15, Amy struggled with the loss of her husband and tried to make things better for her daughter and herself. But just as it wasn’t easy for Amy to accept that Ty was gone, it wasn’t easy for the fans either. That’s why viewers have been hopelessly waiting for him to return to the series. Unfortunately, though, the first episode of Heartland Season 16 didn’t bring Ty back, which was probably disappointing for the viewers.

The actor who plays Finn, Robert Cormier, in Heartland passed away on September 23. The young actor lived only 33 years, and his character Finn Cotter was introduced only in Season 15. We saw him traveling to help his grandfather with his course, and he quickly became a likable character when he developed an interest in Amy and decided to stay in Hudson, even though he didn’t live there.

The two didn’t connect at first, but as they got to know each other, they began to enjoy spending time together. Even in Episode 8 of Season 15, we saw Amy talking about Ty’s death and Finn advising her not to feel guilty, to move on and have fun, which Amy appreciated.

Before Season 16 began, we got some hints that Amy will have a new relationship in the new season. The official synopsis for Season 16 lets us know that a fresh start for Amy means taking off the blinders and looking at her life with new hope and focus. The horses that need her help will be a challenge for her, but she’ll also open herself up to new friendships and maybe even romance.

The synopsis and the official trailer for the new season tell us that Amy will enter into a new relationship. In the trailer, Amy is seen very intimate with Finn; the two look like they’re about to kiss on the lips. We haven’t seen this moment yet in the first episode of Season 16, but we expect it in one of the following episodes.

However, we’re also worried because Cormier’s death means that the character won’t have a good future with Amy. This is another reason why people didn’t like Heartland Season 16 as much as the previous seasons. After the series already lost a popular character, Ty Borden, the sudden death of Cormier disappointed fans again. Who do you think will replace Finn in Season 16?

Even though Heartland Season 16 hasn’t yet received the praise it desires, there are still many episodes ahead that could change viewers’ minds.

Considering the fact that Heartland Season 16 has just started airing and there are still some episodes to be evaluated, we can’t say that Heartland Season 16 is definitely better than Heartland Season 15. However, we shouldn’t forget that Heartland Season 16 hasn’t been well received by the viewers. If we look at the declining ratings of the last three seasons after Ty’s death, we can say that Heartland is losing more and more blood.

Is Heartland Season 16 Better Than Heartland Season 15?

Heartland Season 15 taught its viewers a lot about themes like death, loss, grief, and moving on.

Heartland Season 15, on the other hand, wasn’t one of the worst seasons of Heartland, even though Ty was no longer there. The season taught its viewers a lot about themes like death, loss, grief, and moving on.

The character Tim Fleming is why I watch Heartland less than I did before.
The writers turning Jack Bartlett into a spineless wimp who doesn’t stand up for himself, Lisa or his own ranch has duined it for me. Tim constantly behaving as if he owns everything, he owns heartland. He is an ex-husband of a dead woman. He is not a Bartlett. Heartland is not his home. Invites himself and dates to Jack’s house. Sits at the other head of the table, where Lisa is supposed to sit. Orders Jack around. Send his bastard child Shane to Heartland- who he ordered Amy to keep a horse at Heartland for him. Tim is a deadbeat mooch. No home, nothing for his new wife or bastard child. Amy and Lou are deadbeat mooches. No gumption, no ambition to create anything of their own. Peter, no ambition to build, buy, create a home for his wife and children. Everybody mooches off of Jack. The writers turning Heartland into basically a wayward child, orphan shelter. The whole storyline went into a ditch. I accept that Ty’s character had to die, the actor wanted to leave. Amy allowing her father to tear down the house he was building was disgusting. Ty grew up, was a mature man, who became very wise. Ty’s character would have had a life insurance policy. He was a veterinarian. They make ood money. Yet somehow Amy has money.
This is a short list of my grievances. Heartland started off great but, for whatever reason, the writers just destroyed it. Sad.

I agree with the review you provided. Glad to see I am not alone in noting the disrespect others show Jack and using his home like it’s a hotel for all.
Season 16 was too depressing. The writers over played Amy’s grief. I didn’t like Season 16. Hope the next season is better if there is one.

This show was great over the years but I lost interest in season 15 and just had to stop watching the show has lost what it use to have I think as with any show on this long you can only write so many stories plus it hurt the show when grahm wardle left ty and amy were the two main characters of the show but I loved all bvn the core cast and they did a great job over the years
