All opinions on TV shows are subjective. Even if a show’s IMDb score is above 9, there are still thousands of people who dislike it or vice versa. However, we can all reach a consensus over one fact: Yellowstone is a modern Western masterpiece. Its story, production value, and cast all have a top-notch quality, providing us with an unparalleled experience. Even though the Western world is -regrettably- mostly dominated by men, there is one woman in the show that is worth everything: Yellowstone Beth Dutton.
Beth, played by Kelly Reilly, is a successful, smart, and stunning young woman. She is not an angel by any means, but no demon as well. Her complicated character seems to be inherited by his father, John Dutton, and it suits her perfectly. Some of the most interesting plot points of Yellowstone are revolving around her, as flashbacks to her youth prove what a rollercoaster of life she had.
Despite Reilly’s remarkable performance, and Beth’s critical part in the series, the Season 3 finale played her dirty. In fact, now that there are only a couple of months left to the new season, we are not sure whether Yellowstone Beth Dutton will be present in the series or not, which is quite heartbreaking.
In this article, we will look through the life and character of Yellowstone Beth Dutton and question whether she will survive Season 3’s deadly attack or not. So, without further ado, let’s dive in!
Yellowstone Beth Dutton
Yellowstone Beth Dutton is the only daughter of the couple John and Evelyn Dutton. She lost her mother at an early age and has always felt guilty about it since she witnessed her death helplessly. She has three brothers: Lee, Jamie, and Kayce. Lee, however, died during a feud in which he was trying to protect the family ranch.
Shortly after Evelyn’s death, John met an orphan boy named Rip and took him under his protection. The attraction between Beth and Rip was immediate. However, it took decades for the two to finally have an official relationship as they had to go through a lot over the years.
Beth has a strange relationship with his brother Jamie. In the past, Beth had to struggle with an unwanted pregnancy, in which she seek the help of Jamie. Jamie takes her to a clinic and ensures her that everything will be alright, while not informing her on the fact that she will never be able to have a child ever again. Realizing this fact, later on, Beth still takes a grudge against Jamie, blaming him for being the reason why she can never be a mother.
Beth works for Schwartz & Meyer and proves that she is a power to be reckoned with at each step she takes for the company.
Yellowstone Season 3 Ending
Since 2018, when Yellowstone Season 1 was released, we have witnessed multiple troubling incidents in the show, which is one of the facts that make the series unique. There is always some unexpectedness integrated into the show that keeps us on edge at all times. Still, what happened at the Season 3 finale was beyond shocking, as we had to witness multiple attacks on three of the main characters of the show: John, Beth, and Kayce.
While John and Kayce were shot, Beth got ambushed in her own office. Even though she realized something was off when a mystery box arrived, it was already too late for her. The last thing we saw was a bomb explosion. Since then, to this day, we don’t have a single clue on whether Beth survived or not.
Will Beth Dutton survive?
Okay, we may have exaggerated a bit when we said “we don’t have a single clue.” We have some clues on the whereabouts of Beth, which suggest that there is a high chance Beth survives.
Yes, you heard it right: Yellowstone Beth Dutton will probably survive the brutal attacks of the Season 3 finale. How do we know that? Well, the casting announcement is our biggest hint at coming up with that conclusion. In the announcement, it was said that Beth was assisting Carter in finding a home on the Dutton ranch. It said: “Beth decides the ranch is the best place to teach the youth how to be a man.”
We believe that Paramount would not include such a sentence in its announcement for no reason. Thus, we are confident that Beth will probably be with us during the Season 4 of the series and she will not hesitate to take revenge on the people who attacked her.
Yellowstone Beth & Rip
To be honest, it would be a shame to lose Beth at this point in the story since she has the most exciting love story plot of the show in which she finally got engaged with her long-time lover Rip. As fans, we would be quite pissed off if we fail to see the two having a happily ever after together after all these troubling years.
We also believe that Rip will take the lead in the revenge plot of Season 4, making the attackers sorry for targeting his beloved fiancee. To confirm all of these, we will have to wait until Nov.7, 2021, when Yellowstone Season 4 will be released on Paramount Network.
