Why did Paul Greene depart When Calls the Heart, and is the guy who played Dr. Carson truly gone? As we prepare for the next episodes, there is A LOT to discuss relating to this topic! Many people have already deduced that Carson will not have a significant role in Season 9. He hasn’t been in any of the advertising materials, and he’s retweeted a lot of comments indicating that he won’t be a part of the tale in the near future.
So, what caused this to happen? This is when things become a bit hazy. Greene doesn’t seem to be opposed to returning to this world, therefore we wouldn’t consider his leave to be one in which he is completely gone. The choice not to include him might be influenced by a variety of variables, one of which is creativity. Remember, Carson Shepherd was looking for a new job at the end of last season.
The most essential aspect of this situation is the lack of hostility on any side, as well as the fact that Hope Valley is still a community where individuals may come and leave. We’ve seen folks leave for a while and then return! Paul appears to have a lot going on outside of the program right now, whether it’s his music career or becoming a father. He is still an active promoter of the performance and a member of the larger community.
Paul Greene Leaving When Calls the Heart
Hallmark has not given an official announcement on whether Paul Greene is quitting the program or returning for season 9, but we really hope he does! Fans like his character, Dr. Carson, as well as the man who plays him. Greene routinely interacts with Hearties and other fans on social media, especially live feeds of his spontaneous garden performances. Greene also hosts a popular podcast called The Grass Is Always Greener, with one of his most recent episodes featuring Daniel Lissing, who departed When Calls the Heart in season 5.
With Carson accepting the fellowship in Baltimore, we believe it would be an excellent opportunity for another spinoff! When Hope Calls’ future is uncertain, so the Hallmark Channel has a golden chance to take a well-liked character and create a program around him. A doctor’s existence in the major city, imagine an 18th-century equivalent of New York!
