Adult cartoon shows have recently gained popularity because many people find them relevant and enjoyable, just like F is For Family. Being one of the most highly praised TV series, it has a provocative yet unobtrusive title and has been on the air for five seasons.
F Is For Family premiered on Netflix in 2016. The sitcom has been on the air for five seasons and has a devoted fan following, who were disappointed to learn that the fifth season would be the final time they would see the Murphys.
According to Upcoming Season, the fifth season has been renewed for October 1, 2020, with Netflix stating that the successful cartoon program will screen for the final time. Following the announcement, Michael Price, the show’s co-creator, revealed his genuine sorrowful thoughts to the fans. Price described the animated show as a life-changing moment in his career. “It has been the greatest thrill of my life to work on this program with the great Bill Burr, Vince Vaughn, and our fantastic cast, writers, producers, and crew.”
“I’ll be forever thankful to everybody at Netflix, Gaumont, and Wild West who allowed us to share this anxious, noxious, and loving family with the globe,” he concluded.
Burr, who is largely based on the character in the program, also extended his thanks to the show’s viewers and those who worked on the series, including Vaughn, Peter Billingsley, and Ted Sarandon.
He also expressed gratitude to the amazing authors, actors, animators, editors, and composers that made this program, F is for Family, possible. When fans of the program questioned the possibility of extending the hit on another platform, Price stated that it would not be feasible due to the complexity of ownership rights. He also said that he was working on a similar show for the streaming service that will be released in the near future.
Is F is for Family Cancelled?
F Is for Family, co-created by Bill Burr and Michael Price, has been dazzling our screens since its 2015 premiere, and the animated series has been a fan favorite ever since, receiving a 93% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The popular sitcom will return for its fifth season in November 2021, continuing the narrative of Frank Murphy and his chaotic family. Fans who have binge-watched all of the new episodes, however, have been left wondering if F Is for Family will return to Netflix for season 6.
F Is for Family returned to Netflix for season 5 on November 25th, 2021, as a Thanksgiving surprise. With eight new episodes rather than ten, the new season picks up after last season’s climax, in which Frank Murphy’s father died abruptly.
Season 5 sees Frank continue on his erroneous road towards joining his father with more mistaken antics, culminating in a stunning Christmas Eve concert that may just convince Frank of his error of judgment.
To answer the question, F Is for Family will just not return to Netflix for a sixth season. That is because the program will finish after season 5 as Frank Murphy’s quest draws to a close. When Netflix extended F Is for Family for a fifth season in October 2020, the streaming provider stated that it will also be the final installment.
