F Is for Family returned to Netflix for season 5 on November 25th, 2021, as a Thanksgiving surprise. With eight new episodes rather than ten, the new season picks up after last season’s climax, in which Frank Murphy’s father died abruptly.

Season 5 sees Frank continue on his erroneous road towards joining his father with more mistaken antics, culminating in a stunning Christmas Eve concert that may just convince Frank of his error of judgment.

To answer the question, F Is for Family will just not return to Netflix for a sixth season. That is because the program will finish after season 5 as Frank Murphy’s quest draws to a close. When Netflix extended F Is for Family for a fifth season in October 2020, the streaming provider stated that it will also be the final installment.

F Is For Family is a comedy partially based on the comedian’s youth that follows the Murphy family as they grow up in the early 1970s. Burr’s 2014 special, which was well-received by his fans, paved the way for the animated blockbuster series.

The animated comedy follows Frank X, a disillusioned, foul-mouthed Korean War soldier, as he establishes a family and adapts to life while working as a baggage handler. He is married to Susan, a businesswoman, and they have three children: Kevin, William, called Bill, and Maureen.

Bill is the family’s Charlie Brown, and he is depicted as a charming loser that the audience is supposed to root for. Maureen is her father’s daughter, whom he refers to as Princess and the apple of his eye. She is an inquisitive character that is enthusiastic about all things scientific.
