Big Mouth is an animated series following a group of 7th graders. We watch them struggle their way out of puberty, masturbation, and sexual arousal in the suburbs of New York. The hormone monsters Maurice, Connie, and Mona act as the over-sexualized shoulder angels as they pester the teenagers from time to time. All through the series, you can watch people of all kinds and objects offer helpful advice for their hormone-filled lives!
The series was created for Netflix by Andrew Goldberg, Nick Kroll, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett. It’s loosely based on Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg’s life as teenagers in suburban New York! The latest 5th installment to the show was back in November 2021, and fans have been eagerly waiting for the 6th season! The series centers on two British teens, Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring as they make their way through an all-boys grammar school. Charlie is an openly gay overthinker, while Nick is a soft-hearted rugby player. One day they’re forced to sit together in class.
The friendship they make quickly becomes something more for Nick, but he believes that he has no chance with Charlie. What they both don’t know is, that love works in surprising ways! The show is about love, loyalty, and friendship and it’s quite heartwarming to watch! You can catch all episodes on Netflix! And even better, we will get to watch it for 2 more seasons as it’s already been renewed for a 2nd and 3rd season!

I am Not Okay with This is another coming-of-age TV series like Big Mouth. We watch Sydney, a teenage girl struggle through high school while also dealing with her family, her sexuality, and something more that doesn’t make sense to her at all. She has mysterious superpowers beginning to awaken inside her.
The show is based on the graphic novel by Charles Forsman. It stars Sophia Lillis and Wyatt Oleff alongside Sofia Bryant and Kathleen Rose Perkins. The show got many positive reviews and was initially renewed for a 2nd season. However, later on, Netflix canceled the series, for “circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
3. Hoops
Hoops
Hoops is an adult animated sitcom created for Netflix by Ben Hoffman. It follows Ben Hopkins, a high school basketball coach with a foul mouth. He thinks that turning around his terrible team and winning games will take him to the “big leagues” which will also help turn around his miserable life.
The show was released on Netflix in August 2020. However, after just one season, Netflix canceled the show in December 2020.

Fairfax follows the story of four middle school BFFs. They are on a mission to become popular on Fairfax Avenue. The pulsing heart of Los Angeles! It is an American adult animated comedy series, and it was created by Matt Hausfater, Aaron Buchsbaum, and Teddy Riley. The show was first released on Amazon Prime Video in October 2021.
The voice actors for the show include names like Skyler Gisondo, Kiersey Clemons, Jaboukie Young-White, and Peter Kim! The 2nd season released in June 2022, and you can catch all episodes on Amazon Prime Video!

F is for Family
In F is for Family, we watch a dysfunctional American Irish family. This family includes a father who hates his job, a mother trying to be the wife and parent society wants her to be, a teen with a love for rock-n-roll, the “middle child”, and a little girl who is the apple of his father’s eyes! The show is set in 1970s America.
We have yet another adult animated TV series in our piece for shows like Big Mouth. The show was created by Bill Burr and Michael Price for Netflix. F is for Family premiered back in 2015 and over the course of 5 seasons, a total of 44 episodes were released.

The series was created for Netflix by Waco O’Guin and Roger Black. It premiered in August 2018, and the final and 4th season of the show is set to premiere on December 16, 2022. The voice actors for the show include Sarah Chalke, David Herman, Tom Kenny, and Dana Snyder.
