Netflix has once again come up with controversial content: The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. The reality series is about 6 couples who have been together for some time and waiting to get married. However, one person in each relationship is not sure whether or not they should be getting married. So, in The Ultimatum, they have to choose a potential partner from other couples on the show, and in the end, they should decide if they are going to commit to their initial partners or move on.
Six couples on the verge of marriage are brought together because one person in each relationship isn't 100% sure they're ready to tie the knot — so for three weeks, they'll swap partners.

The series was first released on April 6 with 8 of its episodes. The remaining 2 episodes will come up on April 13. To be honest, the show hasn’t received a lot of positive feedback and it currently has a 5.0 rate on IMDB. The show’s presenters are Vanessa and Nick Lachey, also the hosts of another reality show Love is Blind. The hosts explain the rules and start the conversation as The Ultimatum cast watches their partners flirt with other people.
April and Jake

One of the initial couples of the show, that is, the couples that come to the show already in a relationship is April and Jake. April wants to get married and fill her SUV with children immediately but Jake has just got out of the military. So, he wants to travel and have some fun. That’s why April gives him the ultimatum: marry or move on!
April chooses to date Colby and Jake chooses to date Rae.
Shanique and Randall

Shanique is all ready for marriage but Randall wants to wait until they put their financial situation in order despite admitting that he really loves her. Shanique gives the ultimatum because she feels like she cannot wait anymore.
Shanique chooses to date Zay and Randall chooses to date Madlyn.

Alexis and Hunter

Before getting married, Hunter wants to move in with Alexis but Alexis wants to get engaged first. Her concern is that she will do all the chores in the house and moving in will give her less than it will to Hunter so she gives an ultimatum.
The couple’s journey on the show is unlike the others as Alexis gets rejected by Colby and before even getting to choose a new partner to date, Hunter proposes to her. Hunter says that he doesn’t really like anyone in the cast and decides that Alexis is the best woman for him. At the end of the 2nd episode, Hunter tells everyone in The Ultimatum cast that he wants to get married to Alexis.
Madlyn and Colby

Colby believes that Madlyn is the one from the moment he fell in love with her in college but Madlyn doesn’t really believe that there is a “one” person for everyone. Colby feels like what he does for Madlyn is not appreciated enough by her. Tired of waiting, Colby gives her the ultimatum.
Colby chooses to date April and Madlyn chooses to date Randall.
Rae and Zay

Rae and Zay started dating in college and Rae graduated while Zay is still studying. Rae thinks that marriage is the next step but Zay wants to finish his studies first. Rae is the one giving the ultimatum.
Rae chooses to date Jake and Zay chooses to date Shanique.
Lauren and Nate
Lauren and Nate
Nate wants to get married and have children but Lauren does not. Lauren says she needs more time before she decides Nate cannot wait anymore and gives her the ultimatum.
Lauren is chosen by Colby but before they can even date Nate proposes to her although she told Madyln that he was going to choose her. Nate proposes to Lauren saying that he cannot imagine a family without her.
