Finally, we had welcomed Season 6 of Lucifer on Netflix as of September 19, 2021. The series had a rollercoaster of a ride as it returned from cancellation and managed to survive six long years thanks to its dedicated fan base. To be honest, millions of us are not wrong in having such strong feelings for this demon, as he is not only cunning in an elegant way but also smart, ingenious, and open to growth as a person. Thus, we have to admit that it feels so satisfying to see Lucifer’s evolution over the course of these years and observe how mature he is now compared to his childish self in earlier seasons.
Will There Be A 7th Season Of Lucifer?
After Season 5’s controversial ending where Lucifer inherited his father’s throne as a God following a civil war, we were expecting a strong Season 6 in which we get to see Lucifer in his best version. Netflix did not fail us on that and we got to watch an amazing season once again. From his beloved Detective Chloe to rebellious frenemy Mazikeen, everyone who is surrounding Lucifer also managed to get a fulfilling ending to their stories.
There is only one single problem: Now that we get back together with our precious Lucifer, this might be the last time that we see him. Even though it is totally heartbreaking to admit it, Season 6 might actually be the final season of Lucifer. So far, the statements coming from Netflix, showrunners, and the cast signal that the possibility of having a Season 7 of Lucifer is quite low. However, we need to remember the fact that this is not the first time the news of Lucifer being canceled is spreading. In fact, this is the third time for the show’s destiny to be shaped.

Is Season 6 The Last Season of Lucifer?
Initially, Lucifer was being released on Fox. However, after 3 seasons, Fox decided to cancel the show due to the low ratings. Yet, this was a major surprise for the fans of the show as they were passionately watching the series online. So an online campaign started to renew the show and it paid off. Netflix decided to buy and revive the series for a 4th, and possibly a final, season, just to wrap up the story.
However, after the release of the 10-episode 4th season, Netflix backed off from its decision and announced that there will be a 5th season of the show with 16 episodes. This time, the streaming service underlined: This is truly the final season of Lucifer. And yet, Netflix didn’t stay loyal to its word once again by renewing Lucifer for its 6th season. Wow, what a journey, huh?
In a nutshell, Lucifer got canceled three times before and still managed to release 6 seasons consisting of 93 episodes. After this much back and forth between the showrunners and the audience, it is a bit difficult to believe that the show got canceled this time truly. Therefore, we will be hopeful of the future and keep our dream of having one more season of our most loved devil: Lucifer.

If there would be a Season 7 of Lucifer, it would probably release in Fall 2022, based on the release dates of the previous seasons. Its trailer would be released a month before the actual premiere date of the season.

The cast of the show would probably remain the same more or less. This means that we would get to see Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, Kevin Alejandro as Detective Daniel “Dan” Espinoza, Tricia Helfer as “Mum”, Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez, Tom Welling as Lieutenant Marcus Pierce, Lauren German as Detective Chloe Decker, D. B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Kevin Rankin as Detective Malcolm Graham, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, Scarlett Estevez as Beatrice “Trixie” Espinoza and Inbar Lavi as Eve.

i for one really would love to see a season 7 of this show i mean its just amazing show i really want lucifer to come back because there are so many stories from this show and i think it would be very good of netflix to do this just one more time so please bring it back i really love this show alot

Please remember the phrase “SEVENTH HEAVEN”. I would love to see a 7th season, Lucifer is one of the best television series I have ever seen, in my 50+ years of watching tv.

This is one of the all-time greatest shows I’ve ever watched, and I would love nothing more than to see them all come back again— but they wrapped up the whole show way too well. I got so much closure out of the ending, I almost don’t want to wreck that.

Absolutely the best show I’ve watched!! And the characters really really make you believe more about heaven and hell, living your life to the fullest and except whatever happens to you at the end.. but ill be honest the “silver city” looks alot better in the after life.. seeing a season 7 would be wonderful especially with all the same characters… and please bring Dan back to life,

My favorite all time series ever. nothing on netflix compares to Lucifer. Would love to see a season 7. Hard to say goodbye to such amazing characters and stories. Lots more to explore with our lovable devil and friends.

This show is truly a comic book brought to life! Full metaphors, satire,surrealism, symbolism,all wrapped up in comic realism. How can there not be a season 7? This is certainly one of the best shows out there.

Please bring Lucifer back. We need more of the characters and their lives. It’s lots of adult comedy that is missing In other series. Fox made a big mistake when they dropped it, hopefully Netflix won’t make same mistake.

Also eine solche Serie abzusetzen ist in meinen Augen Frevel. Ich persönlich kann davon einfach nicht genug bekommen , außerdem sind doch noch viele Fragen offen , zb, was wurde aus den Kindern (Charly,Trixi,) Wie macht sich Amenadiel als Gott .Genauso finde ich es furchtbar das Lucifer und Cloe so lange getrennt sein müssen , nachdem sie so hart für ihre Liebe kämpfen mussten(ist seelische Grausamkeit). Ein guter Showrunner Kann da doch sicher was draus machen.Ich bin dafür das es noch eine (oder mehrere) Staffeln gibt. forever Lucifer

Yes! bring it back, but without Chloe. She just annoyed the hell out of me in the previous seasons. I did not think she was a good match for Lucifer at all.
