Over the cost of 15 years of Heartland, there is no season more traumatizing than Heartland Season 14, simply because of Ty Borden’s death.
What is the most irritating thing in a TV show? Is it a change of setting? Is it pointless montages? Or is it the sudden death of the main characters? Well, we don’t know about you, but for us, the last one is by far the most annoying thing that a show is capable of doing. Whenever such a thing occurs, we feel betrayed as fans. It feels so unfair to the point that we take it personally as if the showrunners hate us and thus engage in such a scandalous activity. That being said, sometimes, the showrunners also do not have much say in the situation.
How? Well, a cast member can decide to leave a show if his/her contract is over and there is nothing that can be done about it. Is it frustrating? Yes. Is it understandable? Also yes. We constantly have to remind ourselves that us enjoying a character does not necessarily mean that the actor who is playing the character also loves him/her. Of course, we believe it would be difficult for any actor to successfully play a part that they do not connect with. Still, they are professionals, and sometimes, even if they hate the character, we might not get it from their acting.

Who is Ty Borden in Heartland?
So, what happens is the actor leaves the show, making us feel like we have been deserted on an island all by ourselves as we lost our beloved character. One of the biggest examples of such a case is the one in Heartland, when Ty Borden, a fan favorite, got killed off back in Heartland Season 14.
Ty Borden was one of the protagonists of Heartland. He was just a boy when he came to the ranch and there, he had a second chance in life. He starts to improve himself in being a rancher by working hard and making himself beloved by the Heartland family. He even managed to go to college and become a vet over the years, which is something only very ambitious people are capable of. he also fell in love with Amy, the daughter of the ranch.
Soon, the two turned into dreamy couples whose healthy relationship was too much for us to emotionally handle sometimes as it was too good to be true. Over time, they got married and had a lovely daughter named Lyndy.

Unfortunately, though, their happiness did not last for long. In the Season 13 finale, Ty and Amy were having a walk in the beautiful landscape of Alberta, Canada. There, a hunter was also trying to shoot at a wolf, which was illegal. First, the couple realized that a wolf was running toward them.
Then, they heard the sound of a gun and realized Amy was bleeding. Ty did not lose a second in rushing Amy to the hospital. There, it was revealed that Ty was also being shot but did not realize it since he was occupied with Amy’s condition. he went under an operation and it was a success, at least for a while.
Once he returned to the ranch, we felt like the danger was overcome. However, we were wrong. One day, in Heartland Season 14 he woke up and started to do his regular stuff. Then, he suddenly collapsed, to the surprise of Amy. It later turned out that a blood clot took his life, which wasn’t something that could be predicted. It was a pure tragedy not only for the Heartland family but also for all the fans who were not expecting such an ending to Ty’s journey.
