The School for Good & Evil Cast
We’ll get to watch Charlize Theron, Kerry Washington, Michelle Yeoh, and Laurence Fishburne as the School’s best and worst deans, professors, and principals in this beautiful cast. Lady Lesso of the School for Evil is played by Theron, while Professors Anemone and Dovey of the School for Good are played by Yeoh and Washington, respectively. Patti LuPone, Kit Young, Rachel Bloom, Peter Serafinowicz, Mark Heap, and Kit Young are among the cast members.
On June 6, the show’s key image was published, offering viewers a dramatic first look at what the two battling colleges would look like. In a Geeked Week panel, Chainani noted that the visual cosmos the film produces is precisely what his imagination led him to when writing the book and that Sophie and Agatha’s story is a departure from a traditional hero’s journey.

Every four years, on the eleventh night of the eleventh month, two youngsters aged 12 and up are kidnapped by an unknown power and taken to the Endless Woods encircling Gavaldon. While other youngsters dreaded being abducted by an unknown entity, Sophie (nicknamed “the School Master”) fantasizes about princesses and living out her Happily Ever After with a gorgeous prince.
Conversely, her closest buddy, Agatha, has clumps (shoes), a sulky attitude, bulging bug eyes, and a hideous visage, and is the polar opposite of her. With all of this, plus the fact that she lives in a cemetery, the locals believe she is an ideal candidate for the School for Evil. Agatha observes Sophie being kidnapped as the dreaded abduction day approaches once more. In an attempt to take her back to Gavaldon, she is instead dragged along with Sophie to the schools, where they are both transferred.
The School for Good & Evil Theme
Sophie and Agatha are assigned to what appear to be the “mistaken” schools, with Sophie ending up as a “Never,” a student at the School for Evil, and Agatha as an “Ever,” a student in the School for Good, much to their dismay.
Sophie tries unsuccessfully to move schools with Agatha, but her closest friend wants the two of them to go home together. Sophie is adamant that she is Good, and she is immediately captivated by the most famous prince in School. Sophie and Agatha get into difficulties when all of their attempts to flee are foiled by the School’s rigorous surveillance system.
Sophie is determined to be Good, but Agatha refuses to attend either School and wants to return to their previous lives. Sophie has always wanted to be friendly, so it’s difficult for her to accept that she’s in the School for evil. She initially believes it is a mistake, but she quickly discovers more about herself and Agatha.
