Alisha Newton, despite her young age (she’s 20 years old), has already starred in quite a number of movies and TV series. She started her career at the age of 4 with commercials and then made her debut in 2010 at the age of 9 in the movie The Wyoming Story on TV. She then appeared in the episode of the dark fantasy drama series Supernatural titled “Clap Your Hands If You Believe.”
Newton’s well-known films include Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (as Young Annabeth) and Scorched Earth (as Beatrice). The up-and-coming actress is also part of the cast of the upcoming miniseries Devil in Ohio and the film We’re All in This Together.

In 2012, Alisha Newton joined the cast in the 6th season of Heartland, playing the role of Georgie Fleming Morris, for which she won several Young Artist and The Joey Awards.
Georgie, the adopted daughter of Lou and Peter, was orphaned at the age of three. She’s a tomboy and a born equestrian. Georgie had difficulty balancing school, life on the ranch and trick riding, but she quickly got used to life on the ranch.
In real life, Alisha is a passionate rider who’s a special fondness for horses; she’s been riding since she was two years old. So it wasn’t hard for her to get used to her role in Heartland. She currently has two horses named Diva and Aflame. The young actress was only ten years old when she auditioned for the role of Georgie back in 2015. So it was nice to see her growing up both in real life and in Heartland.

Surprisingly, Georgie disappeared quite suddenly in Season 15 and didn’t appear throughout the season. Therefore, fans of the series started to speculate whether Alisha left Heartland or not. Well, there’s no official word from the authorities that she’s left the series. But we should say that it’s not common for a fan favorite to disappear for a whole season without any reason.
Heartland recently lost one of its most beloved characters, Ty Borden (played by Graham Wardle). For the fans it was so hard to accept his absence that some even stopped watching the series, thinking that they were missing something without Ty. Since Amy and Ty’s love story was one of the main reasons for Heartland‘s popularity, it wasn’t easy for fans to get used to a new Amy and her new life. If Alisha Newton really left the series, the creators might be hesitant not to make an official announcement.

However, it’s also possible that Alisha Newton hasn’t left Heartland for good. As mentioned earlier, Newton has been working on two new projects: Devil in Ohio and We’re All in This Together. So, it’s possible that she’s focusing on other projects and plans to return to Heartland in Season 16.
Whatever the reason, Georgie’s absence in Season 15 left a void with the audience, as she became one of the sweetest, but also the strongest members of the family. It was always a pleasure to watch her character development. Besides, her story isn’t over yet! We believe Georgie still has a lot to go through, and we want to see her develop.
Her departure would irretrievably break the hearts of Heartland fans and definitely affect the ratings of the series. Let’s hope that Georgie will return in the next season.

I have loved Georgie since the first day she came on the show I do realize that sometimes actors want to do other things but if I truly hope she hasn’t left Heartland for good yet

Hated seeing Ty killed off,so losing Georgie would not be good either. Also,what’s happen to Jade,the other vets,& Jack’s wife?? Mallory would make it interesting,she couldn’t help herself from causing problems with comedic endings usually.

Alisha Newton is my absolute favorite character on Heartland and it won’t be the same if she is gone don’t know if I will watch
