The 1st 7 episodes of Stranger Things Season 4 debuted on Netflix a few days ago, leaving us with multiple plot twists at the end of Episode 7. Fans are already claiming Season 4 to be the best season of the series, even though the final 2 episodes will be released on July 1. It will be excruciating to wait more than a month for the last 2 episodes to come out, especially if you binge-watched the 7 episodes in one sitting.
We are also sure that some of you will be rewatching the last 20 minutes of the 7th episode repeatedly, while others will be rewatching the season from the start to look for clues that gave away the major plot twist at the ending.
Moreover, the existing Stranger Things cast members and the new actors joining the series put on an outstanding performance this season. Everyone in the show has great acting, and this is one of Stranger Things’ extraordinary abilities. Apart from the original gang, some new characters like Eddie and Argyle became fan favorites as they quickly fit in with the other characters. Here are the 7 new actors who joined the Stranger Things Season 4 cast and blessed us with their presence.
Eddie, one of the stars of the 1st episode of Season 4, was introduced as the leader of the Hellfire Club, a group Dustin, Mike, and Lucas are a part of. He also turned out to be a charming and funny drug dealer playing guitar who sold drugs to Chrissy (yes, the poor girl who met Vecna in the worst possible way). Eddie is portrayed by Joseph Quinn, who is 29 years old. The age gap between the actor and his character, alongside a few other characters in the show, has been the focus of discontent among the show’s viewers as Quinn looks much older to be playing a high schooler.
Quinn has played in shows like C.B. Strike, Catherine the Great, and Howards End.
Jamie Campbell Bower
The most surprising character of Stranger Things Season 4 turned out to be a character credited as “Friendly Orderly,” who helped, seemed to help, Eleven when she returned to be a test subject again. At the end of Episode 7, however, this character was much more. Jamie Campbell Bower (34) portrayed him, who acted in major films and tv shows. His roles included young Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, King Arthur in the tv series Camelot, and Caius in the Twilight saga.
Most fans’ favorite new character in Season 4, Argyle, is Jonathan’s new friend in California. Argyle works at a pizza restaurant and likes to get high. He is played by Eduardo Franco (26), who is best known for playing in Booksmart, The Package, and American Vandal.
From the 1st scene where you see Tom Wlaschiha’s character Dmitri, a Russian prison guard who tries to help Hopper, you probably have thought, “I know this guy!” Yes, you do, from Game of Thrones. The man is no one! He is the mysterious Jaqen H’ghar, the priest who serves the Many-Faced God and helped Arya in Braavos. Other than Game of Thrones, Tom Wlaschiha (49) also appeared in the tv series Das Boot and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.
Mason Dye plays Jason, the high school basketball team leader and Chrissy’s boyfriend, who loves microphones. Dye is 28 years old. Aren’t there any teenage actors that the Duffer Brothers can cast? He previously had roles in Bosch and Teen Wolf, among many others.
The most annoying character of the new season is Yuri, the Russian guy who can do anything for money. At first, Yuri seemed funny, but then we saw his betraying character and could no longer stand him. The fact that we are disturbed by a character tells a lot about the actor who portrays him, Nikola Djuricko (48). He played in the movie The Living Man and the tv series Hollands Hoop.
Sherman Augustus plays Lt. Colonel Sullivan, an officer who wants to end whatever is going on in Hawkins. Augustus previously starred in Westworld and Into the Badlands.
