Ladies and gentlemen, the wait is finally over, Stranger Things Season 4 trailer dropped a few days ago and the season is coming to Netflix on May 27! We have been waiting for this news since September 2019 when Netflix announced that there will be a 4th season. The 1st look at the new season came with a 3-minutes-long trailer, fresh out of the oven, and we’re here to go over the details you might have missed.
Back in February, another piece of valuable news came as well, Stranger Things was renewed for a 5th final season. Although the news was quite upsetting, we don’t want the series to drag storylines just for the sake of making money. We believe 5 seasons for a show like this is just the right length. Now, let’s look at the clues in the Stranger Things Season 4 trailer and guess what’s waiting for us.
Stranger Things Season 4 Trailer
Well, a lot is going on in this almost more than 3-minutes-long trailer but we’re going to be talking about only a few important points. First of all, it seems like a new monster called Vecna is introduced to the series. Different from the previous monsters of the Upside-Down world, this terrifying being seems to have (or has had in the past) a human form. It looks like Vecna is inspired by a wizard-turned-monster from the game Dungeons and Dragons. So, before turning into this creature, Vecna was a human. Does this open up the possibility that maybe Vecna was someone we used to know?
Talking about someone we used to know, we thought Billy was dead, and at the beginning of the trailer, you can see Max, his sister, looking at his gravestone. But there is also another shot of Billy playing guitar. Is this from another dimension or is Billy alive in this world? We are waiting to find out.
Another interesting point that caught our attention is that although Eleven still seems like she doesn’t have her abilities, in the trailer we see Max levitating in the air. This could possibly mean that she acquired new powers after the events of the last season but how did that happen? We need explanations in the Stranger Things Season 4.

When we saw Billy playing guitar in the trailer we were confused as much as you are. We also saw his sister Max standing in front of his grave which said “Gone but not forgotten.” If he was gone, why did we see him alive and well in the trailer? Maybe he is kind of in a netherworld, between Upside-Down and this world.
There are also theories about his consciousness escaping his body before we saw him dying at the end of the last season. So, it could be that he found another way to come back to Earth. We know this seems far-fetched but nothing is impossible in the world of Stranger Things. No matter how though, Billy will definitely be in the new season, as we saw him in the Stranger Things trailer.
Steve Stranger Things

We see Steve in action with the rest of the group in the new Stranger Things Season 4 trailer. There is also one concerning the scene of him underwater, with a flashlight in his hand. This doesn’t mean that he’s going to die or anything but fans are worried anyways.
As for the love life of the character, there is a small possibility that he might get back together with Nancy. Considering that after Jonathan moved to California Nancy and Steve remained in Hawkins. In the trailer for Stranger Things Season 4, we see them together, probably about to fight some Upside-Down powers.

Robin Stranger Things

It seems like Robin is also going to be in the new season as she is among the characters we see in the new Stranger Things Season 4 trailer. Last season we witnessed her confessing to Steve that she was a lesbian and the pair grew an amazing friendship together. We wait for that to continue in the new season.
Madelyn Cline Stranger Things

Madelyn Cline played a high-schooler girl named Tina in Season 2 of the show. Though she had only a few scenes where she bullied some of the main characters, she soon became famous after her role in the series and went on to star in Outer Banks. As she was absent from Season 3, we don’t expect her to be in Season 4.
Nancy Stranger Things

Nancy is seen in the new trailer as well. It seems she will continue to do some Upside-Down business with the group and we don’t know if she’s going to find a way to get back with Jonathan again. Fans speculate that Nancy is going to reunite with Steve after a long breakup but we don’t know yet. Guess, we’ll have to wait and see what Stranger Things Season 4 has for us.
