The Marked Heart, a Colombian thriller drama is about a man, Simon, whose wife Valeria is murdered by an organ mafia for her heart. Her heart is then given to a woman named Camila who doesn’t know the origins of the new heart. To take revenge, Simon goes on to search for his wife’s murderers and finds himself falling in love with Camila who also falls for him. But when the 2 learn the truth, the events get even more complicated.
The show as described above has an interesting, a bit cheesy, storyline. Although it only premiered on Netflix on April 20, it sits in the number 1 spot on Netflix’s Top 10 non-English tv series. It was streamed for 85.26 million hours between April 25 and May 1. This is the 2nd week that the show has been sitting in the number 1 spot. Aware of the success of The Marked Heart, the platform already renewed the show for a 2nd season.
