Thankfully, Netflix’s enormously popular Korean TV series Squid Game has been renewed for a 2nd season, and there’s no doubt that we’ll race through all of the episodes as soon as they’re released because we’re eager to know what will happen in Squid Game Season 2. For the time being, we can make some predictions about the games that will most likely be played in the series’ 2nd season.
As the 1st season of the controversial survival thriller Squid Game ended on a jaw-dropping cliffhanger, many questions about the season finale arose in the minds of viewers. “Will Seong survive?” is one of those questions. You can rest easy since Seong (played by Lee Jung-jae) remains alive. What’s more, he is the only one who makes it through the games!
Seong then discovers who the game runner is and takes action against him. Then he tries to get into a plane, so he can see his daughter in LA. However, the game recruiter appears and asks him to convince a man to join the game. Seong calls the man and tells him that he will find them. What an intriguing finale that leaves us eagerly anticipating Squid Game Season 2!
With so many other questions on our minds, we’ll have to wait an eternity for Squid Game Season 2. Let’s look at some traditional Korean games now.
Jegichagi is an outdoor example of a good Korean game. It is played with a jegi, which is a paper wrapped around a coin that is typically made with a sheet of hanji paper and kicked continuously by the player. The player who kicks the jegi the most while keeping it off the ground wins. Players form a circle and kick the jegi to one another in a group game; the person who drops the jegi loses. A jegi is similar to a shuttlecock that is used in badminton.
Neolttwigi is a traditional outdoor game that is commonly played during Korean New Year celebrations. It’s an acrobatic game performed on a board (neol) with two ends, on which two players stand and jump one after the other. To give you an example, it’s comparable to a seesaw with one exception: the players don’t sit in this one.
Ssireum is a game of Korean wrestling. It’s a classic national sport with roots dating back to the fourth century. Two contestants compete in modern ssireum, each wearing a belt (satba) and wrestling with a variety of methods. The game is lost if any part of the body above the knee hits the ground. During the game, the competitors attempt not to hurt each other.

Tuho, which is known as Pitch-pot in English, is a traditional East Asian aiming game. The game is claimed to have been invented by soldiers to pass the time in their spare time in Ancient China. It was a very popular game until the Qing Dynasty, and it spread to other Asian countries during this time. Tuho began as a game for the elites, but it eventually became a game for all classes of society. It calls for players to throw sticks or arrows into a big pot.
The game is a traditional one that is typically played in the fall and spring. It is a two-player game that uses little square stones known as tombstones. The players stand on their assigned lines and use their tombstones to knock down the tombstones of the other player. They place their tombstones on the tops of their feet and carry them to the other player’s tombstone when they succeed. They repeat the previous stages by placing the tombstones on the higher parts of the body after successfully carrying the tombstones. The game is lost by the player who drops the tombstone or fails to knock down the opponent’s tombstone.
Yutnori is a traditional board game that is especially played during the Korean New Year. It is a social activity that is enjoyed by large groups of players and spectators. To play this game, you’ll need a board and some sticks. It’s played by casting the sticks and moving a mal based on the score. If a player succeeds yut or mo in their turn, they gain the right to cast a stick an additional time. There is no limit to how many times you can cast a stick in a row, as long as you keep casting yuts or mos.
Top spinning, also known as Paengi Chigi in Korean, is a traditional winter sport. It requires a top and a long-stringed stick. Hit the spinning top with a string tuck with the stick to play the game. The aim is to rotate the top for as long as possible. Top Spinning is played by using many sorts of spinning tops, such as those with pointed tails and those that resemble corn.
