The last episode of Season 2 of P-Valley, the drama series following the lives of employees of a strip club, aired a week ago, and we know you are already looking for shows like P-Valley to get you through the feeling of emptiness that comes when you know your favorite show will not return for some time. Since the 2nd season just finished, it is still not certain we’ll get a P-Valley Season 3, but considering the critical success of the latest season, a 3rd one seems like a must.
If the show gets renewed and fans are happy, that still means we’ll have to wait for a long time for the new season. So, we will have a lot of free time on our hands to watch other stuff. One of them is Beth, a mother of 4 whose husband cheated on her and put the family in a financial crisis. Beth’s sister Annie is a single mom trying to make ends meet while in a custody battle with her ex-husband. The other woman, Ruby, is a mother of 2 and has a hard time finding money for her daughter’s medical treatments. Everything changes in their lives when these 3 plan an unlikely heist and rob a supermarket.
2. Queen of the South

Another series you can watch before P-Valley Season 3 is Queen of the South (2016-2021). This is a series about a poor woman named Teresa Mendoza who turns her life around and becomes quite wealthy by building a drug empire. The story starts when Teresa falls in love with a drug dealer. When her boyfriend dies, Teresa has to flee from her boyfriend’s dangerous boss because she knows too much about their work. When Teresa comes to the U.S., she ends up with a cartel boss who wants to keep her under control, but Teresa realizes the only way she can get out of this world is by conquering it.
3. On My Block
On My Block
On My Block (2018-2021) is also on the list of shows like P-Valley. Following 4 teenagers living in a predominantly Hispanic and black neighborhood, On My Block is a coming-of-age story where 4 friends deal with pain, love, and friendship. Monsé Finnie is an Afro-Latina who is in love with one of her best friends, Cesar, while Cesar is a Latino who is forced into a gang life when his brother gets out of prison. Ruby is of Mexican descent and is in love with a friend of her family, Olivia. The last member of the friend group, Jamal, is an African-American nerd bent on finding a hidden treasure.

4. Greenleaf
Greenleaf
Greenleaf (2016-2020) follows an African-American family who leads a scandalous life with secrets and lies. The family consists of the patriarch Bishop James Greenleaf and the matriarch Lady Mae Greenleaf. They have a daughter called Grace Greenleaf, who returns home after a very long time. Although the family members deeply love each other, secrets, lies, adultery, and many conflicting issues swarm the family.
5. True Story
True Story
True Story (2021) is among the shows you can watch before P-Valley Season 3. It is a drama centered around Kid, a world-famous comedian who wakes up next to a dead body. As Kid doesn’t remember what happened, he becomes desperate to cover his tracks not to ruin his career. What follows is a thriller filled with twists and turns.
6. Harlem
Harlem
The last recommendation we’re making is Harlem (2021- ), the only series on our list that is still continuing. The series follows 4 women who met while studying at NYU but are now in their 30s. The women now live in Harlem, trying to balance love, career, and friendship. While 1 member of the group is a diehard romantic, the other is an exalted singer. They live, laugh, and love in Harlem.
