Sanditon Season 2 was recently released thanks to the increasing demand from the viewers and we had a lot on our plate even though it was only 6 episodes. In Sanditon Season 2, one of the most interesting story arcs was belonging to Allison, and you might remember how Alison and Captain Fraser finally declared their emotions for one another and married. It all happened during the last seconds of the show, which left many viewers both shocked and asking for more.
Alison’s heart was beating for the attractive Captain Carter during the first episodes, but they had to push their way into the marriage and it was pretty difficult for them to cope with all the drama.
However, in Sanditon Season 2, we watched how Alison was given a harsh awakening and got disappointed in Carter when it was revealed that he lied about his stories, stealing them from Captain Fraser’s war memories. Probably the harshest thing for Alison was the lie about the poem, which he also presented as his but that was obviously not the case.
Charlotte
Following the events, Alison and Captain Fraser started to develop feelings for each other and we got to know that Fraser was secretly admiring Alison from afar. With the regiment’s impending departure to India, Fraser had no choice but to declare his love.
With the sudden admission, Alison thought that she had to do something and she arrived at the soldiers’ camp to find Captain Fraser but her efforts were in vain. She later found him waiting for her in Tom Parker’s mansion to reveal that he has resigned for her.

Who did Charlotte end up with in Sanditon Season 2?
Charlotte and Ralph
Sanditon Season 2 concluded when Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams) revealed her commitment, but that was not exactly happy news because instead of marrying the one who has her heart, Alexander Colbourne (Ben Lloyd-Hughes), Charlotte has decided to marry farmer Ralph Starling (Cai Bridgen). While Ralph appears to be nice, we could see that Charlotte’s heart belonged to someone else.
This was not the only saddening event in Season 2, because Colonel Lennox (Tom Weston-Jones) has had to admit his faults, which resulted in Georgiana Lambe (Crystal Clarke) revealing that he is a scam artist. Following the events, Alexander Colbourne has left Sanditon. Looks like Sanditon Season 2 left us on an even bigger cliffhanger than the Season 1.
Did Sidney – Theo James return for Sanditon Season 2?

You might already guess that Theo James will not be back for any season of Sanditon after his leave on March 20 during Season 2’s opening which began with Sidney’s burial. It looks like we will not be seeing the handsome Regency-era gentleman anymore in Sanditon Season 2.
There are many questions related to Sidney’s death and in the show, Sidney died in Antigua because of yellow fever after marrying Eliza Campion (Ruth Kearney) in Sanditon Season 2. When Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams) found out the news, she was at a dance party and the scandalous news apparently ruined it.

After much anticipation and fanfare, the show which airs on PBS Masterpiece in the United States hit the screens for Sanditon Season 2. The show is based on and inspired by Jane Austen’s unfinished novel of the same name, the series follows the events of the main character Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams) who is a provincial young woman.
Though the program has a strong fan base and many people made positive comments about the show, there are some critics who were disappointed with the Sanditon’s 1st season despite the fact that scrip writer Andrew Davies had previously worked for many Austen books related shows.
When we last saw Charlotte in Season 1, she looked like she was still trying to get over her first love Sidney Parker’s death (played by Theo James). Theo James chose to leave the show after the 1st season, but as a result, we got to watch Charlotte and the other young women become involved in amorous interests very quickly.
Overall, even though there are some who did not like the 1st season of Sanditon, the show’s 2nd season hit the screens with a huge impact and a lot of positive critics. If you are wondering if Sandiation Season 2 is worth watching, our answer is a definite yes!
