The biggest Netflix release of the past few days is Human Resources, an adult animated show that is taking place within the same universe as one of the biggest animated shows of Netflix: the Big Mouth. Now that the 1st season of the show has wrapped up, our eyes are on Human Resources Season 2.
Is Human Resources Linked to the Big Mouth?
Human Resources is designed as a sequel to the Big Mouth, which focuses on the bugs and all the other non-human creatures of that particular universe rather than revolving around humans. The show’s production process has been ongoing since 2019, which makes it one of the most anticipated releases of the past few years.
Especially the Big Mouth fans have been waiting for this show very eagerly as the Big Mouth universe has always been praised for providing a large basis for a lot of creative beings that have anthropomorphic qualities. Therefore, when we saw that Human Resource has finally premiered on Netflix, we were more than happy to welcome the show. Now, all we want to have is a 2nd season of the show as soon as possible.
What is Human Resources About?
Human Resources is created by Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, Kelly Galuska, Nick Kroll, and Jennifer Flackett and premiered on Netflix on March 18, 2022. The main cast members of the shows are Maya Rudolph and David Thewlis, both of whom make wonders in delivering their parts. The show is weirdly similar to the sitcom legend the Office not only thanks to its fun mockumentary-style but also because it is taking place in a heavy work environment.
Multiple monster characters form very unique relationships with each other in a comedic but also surprisingly realistic setting, which we love to see. Maya Rudolph is playing the part of Connie who is a Hormone Monstress that is known for her spirit shifts and unpredictable tantrums. Nick Kroll, on the other hand, plays the part of Maury who is also a Hormone Monster but he has hypersexuality that can often cause problems. David Thewlis is starring in the show The Shame Wizard utilizes the feeling of shame self-control tool that often ends up causing personality defamation.
Apart from these characters, there are also Brandon Kyle Goodman as Walter the Lovebug and/or Hateworm, Pamela Adlon as Sonya the Lovebug, Thandiwe Newton as Mona the Hormone Monstress, Jemaine Clement as Siomen Sex who is a Hormone Monster, Maria Bamford as Tito the Anxiety Mosquito, Bobby Cannavale as Gavin the Hormone Monster, Keke Palmer as Rochelle the Hateworm, Randall Park as Pete the Logic Rock and Aidy Bryant as Emmy the Lovebug.
