FBI Season 4 Ending Explained
The final episode of FBI Season 4 was scheduled to air on May 24, 2021, the day the horrific shooting took place at Robb Elementary School in Texas. However, the episode was canceled due to shooting and has yet to air. At the moment, it’s unclear whether the final episode of Season 4, titled “Prodigal Son,” will ever air.
For this reason, we are going to look at what happened in the last episode of FBI, which aired on May 17, 2022 under the title “Kayla”. The episode is about retired DEA agent Thomas Webber, who’s shot outside a local bakery. FBI learns that he then worked as a security guard at a nightclub, where he came into conflict with Rafer Boggs, who claims that a girl he was dating cheated on him with Webber. Nevertheless, he’s acquitted of this suspicion.
After the murder of Wallie Lamox, a janitor at the church, they learn that both he and Webber are eligible witnesses against the heroin gang LS -19 led by Callum Brewster. Tiffany asks Castille to use one of Brewster’s restaurant waitresses, Kayla Marsh, to get Brewster’s phone, but she and Chase disagree on how to proceed. Somehow they manage to convince Kayla, who successfully gets the phone for OA to clone. The texts on Brewster’s phone confirm that he’s the killer, as well as the ballistics on his gun.
However, when they go to arrest Brewster, they discover that he’s dead. Despite an initial promise to Kayla not to involve her further, Castille asks Tiffany and Chase to bring her back on board to retrieve her boyfriend, Trey Copper’s gun. Ballistic examination of the gun confirms that it’s the same gun used to kill the other victims. As they track Cooper to a heliport, he takes Kayla hostage before being gunned down by Tiffany. Kayla is also arrested for aiding and abetting Cooper. Tiffany and Chase put aside their differences following the case.
