Bridgerton Season 3 Release Date, Trailer – Is it Cancelled?

Bridgerton Season 2 just hit Netflix and now, we cannot wait for Bridgerton Season 3 to be released as soon as possible.

Historical romance is one of our most beloved genres of all time. Since reading Pride and Prejudice for the first time as a teenager, we are in love with the genre and look for new additions to it at all times. When you search for such books, apart from the classics, the first ones that come to mind are the ones that belong to the talented author, Julia Quinn. Quinn is a 52 years old author whose books listed in the New York Times Bestseller List 19 times.

Even though she has a lot of books, she is best known for her Bridgerton series which she has been writing since 2000. Today, the series has 8 novels and multiple novellas, creating a grand universe in which people with modern culture and values enjoy the setting of a 19th century England high society. The series was already a hit among the readers for more than two decades as the books were translated into 41 languages.

However, the Netflix show, which was premiered back in 2020, literally broke the internet and caused both the books and the TV series to turn into a global sensation. Since then, we cannot get enough of Bridgerton and are looking forward to having a new season constantly. Thankfully, the 2nd season of the show has just hit the internet, and now, our eyes are on the 3rd one.

The Bridgerton books focus on the Bridgerton family tree. Each book tells the story of a different member of the family and her love story. This means that one book’s protagonist re-emerges in a different book as a side character. Netflix series seems to handle each book as a season, meaning that the 1st season was focusing on the 1st book and the 2nd season focused on the 2nd book.

Since there are 8 books in total, we expect the show to have 8 seasons and perhaps also some movies that are based on the novellas. Even though Netflix has yet to announce such a grand project, for now, considering the popularity of the show, we don’t think the streaming platform would let go of it any time soon.

Therefore, we believe it is certain that the show will get a Season 3 soon. In our estimation, it is likely for Bridgerton Season 3 to be released around March 2023. Although it took two years for the 2nd season to be released, we don’t think the show will take that much longer to produce from now on as the global pandemic has been taken under control for the most part.

In Season 2, we watched Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma, Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton, Charithra Chandran as Edwina Sharma, Shelley Conn as Mary Sharma, Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Featherington, Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury, Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte. While we watched all these names as main characters of the series and believe that they will be present in Bridgerton Season 3 as well, we don’t think they will be the protagonists of the show any longer.

Bridgerton Season 2 Charithra Chandran

We are especially interested in watching Charithra Chandran once again in Bridgerton Season 3 as her career journey inspires us at all times. 25 years old actress is an Oxford graduate and she studied politics and economics there. She was intended to become a management consultant but the lockdown lead her to be an actress.

“I thought that what Hamilton did for theatre, Bridgerton did for TV. It not only diversified what’s on screen, I think more importantly it diversified viewers. And that was reflected in the [viewing] numbers. People like to see themselves on screen. When you see the little kids dressing up as [Adjoa Andoh’s character] Lady Danbury and the Queen [played by Golda Rosheuvel], it makes me so happy – and it provides perspective on why this is important,” she said in a recent interview regarding her experience in the Bridgerton series.
