With Frozen 3 just around the corner, who could deny that they miss the Frozen characters like hell? Well, we don’t know about you, but we long for them, from Anna to Olaf and Elsa to Kristoff. We even miss the villains of the movie, who get beat up every time they try to harm Anna or Elsa. That’s why in this article we have ranked all the Frozen characters from best to worst. Without much ado, let’s get started.
Anna, the princess of Arandelle, is undoubtedly the best of all Frozen characters with her lovable character. Although she doesn’t match the stereotypical characteristics of Disney princesses, she wins the audience’s heart with her authenticity and humor. The role of Anna was voiced by 42-year-old actress Kristen Bell.
Elsa comes right after Anna on the ranking of Frozen characters. She’s the older sister of Anna and the queen of Arendelle who has magical ice powers. Throughout the film series, we see Elsa trying to protect her sister, as she’s one of Disney’s strong-willed and courageous female characters. The 51-year-old talented actress Idina Menzel lent her voice to the character.
Even though he is a snowman, Olaf warms our hearts the most out of all Frozen characters! He was created by Elsa and Anna when they were children, and serves as comic relief in the film series. Olaf always dreams of experiencing summer – which is impossible for him. He’s mostly known for his kindness and generosity. Remember what he said in the scene when he melted in the first movie? “Some people are worth melting for.” The one and only Olaf was voiced by Josh Gad.
Kristoff is one of the Frozen characters that support the story of the film series well. He’s a 21-year-old iceman who is accompanied by a reindeer named Sven and just like Anna, he’d no family when he was growing up. Also, Kristoff is a confident and brave character who’s always there for Anna. That’s why the two of them make a good couple. The character was voiced by multi-award-winning actor Jonathan Groff, who is known for his role as Holden Ford in the Netflix series Mindhunter.
5. Queen Iduna
Despite being a minor character in the Frozen movie series, Queen Iduna has won the sympathy of fans with her endearing personality. She’s the husband of King Agnarr of Arandelle and the mother of Elsa and Anna.
Because of Iduna’s selfless heroic deed in saving Agnarr, nature gave her eldest child, Elsa, magical powers as a reward – the ability to control ice and snow. Iduna didn’t know where Elsa’s powers came from, but she believed that they were born out of love and thus were a gift rather than a curse, since she was born of the union of an Arendellian and a Northuldran. She accepted the uniqueness of her daughter and rightly believed that Elsa was a gift from the spirits of the forest and was born with her powers for a reason. Jennifer Lee gave her voice to the character.
The owner of Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna, Oaken is a gentle giant who’s close to his family and runs an honest business. That’s why he’s attracted the attention of the fans of the film series, although he only makes a small appearance. He became such a lovable character that he was given a place in Season 4 of the fantasy series Once Upon a Time. Chris Williams lent his voice to the character.
7. Duke of Weselton
The Duke of Weselton, voiced by the well-known actor Alan Tudyk, isn’t the best among the Frozen characters. What’s more, he is the main villain of the first film in the series. The malicious and ambitious Duke of Weselton wants to uncover the secrets he believes Elsa and Arendelle hold. He even wants to have Elsa murdered by hiring two of his henchmen.
Hans, with his manipulative and selfish character, takes the worst place among all Frozen characters. As the Prince of the Southern Isles, Hans only wants to ascend to the throne, which he can achieve only by marrying Anna. We learn of his plan when he’s ready to let Anna freeze to death and tries to murder Elsa in cold blood to get what he wants. Fortunately, he’s stopped by Anna and sent back to his homeland where his older brothers can deal with him. He’s the worst character in the film series because he abuses Anna’s feelings.
