A sequel to the 1st film, After We Collided, came out in 2020, and another sequel, After We Fell, was released last year.

It is reportedly told that Netflix will handle the film’s distribution, but it is unknown when. The 1st film of the franchise came to Netflix 1.5 years later. Viewers were luckier with the 2nd and the 3rd films, which came to the platform 2 and 3.5 months later, respectively. So, we believe After 4 will be on Netflix in the following months, in January 2023 at the latest.

Now, let’s return to the most important part: what happens at the end of the 4th film of the franchise? Towards the movie’s end, Tessa and Hardin break up again after Tessa discovers Hardin’s book, where he talks about the pair’s relationship. After realizing the book contains details about her personal life, Tessa wants nothing to do with both the book and Hardin.
A short time jump occurs in the film, and we move on to Hardin’s book getting published. Tessa is now dating a guy named Robert, but she is still, of course, hung up on Hardin. She puts on a disguise and goes to Hardin’s book event, where he talks to a crowd. She realizes that a blond woman is standing next to Hardin. Before he starts reading sentences from his book, Tessa decides to leave, and that’s where the film ends, flashing the words “to be continued” on the screen.
So, many people who read the books know that Hardin and Tessa will have children in the end. But that time of their relationship hasn’t been explored in the After film series yet. Tessa did not get pregnant in this movie. Maybe she will in the next one, where we can finally see a happy ending for the couple, although in After We Fell, Tessa’s gynecologist told her that she might never conceive due to a problem with her cervix. We expect a miracle to happen in the 5th film and the couple getting a happily ever after with children.
