Season 5 of Selling Sunset just dropped on Netflix on April 22 and the reunion episode will be available on May 6. The new season started with Chrishell and Jason’s couple vacation with Mary and Romain in Mykonos. The show tackles some other themes like Christine’s continuing clash with the other girls on the show, Heather’s wedding to Tarek, Emma’s growing romance with Micah, Quinn and Chelsea’s new friendship, and much more.

Where is the Oppenheim Group Based?

The location, where the main events of the series take place, is the office of the Oppenheim Group, which is located in West Hollywood, at 8606 Sunset Blvd. The group also has an office in Newport Beach but there isn’t really a lot of filming going on there. The main office in West Hollywood is filled with authentic pieces of art and architecture from all over the world, including a Parisian clock from the 1830s and European antique books.
Of course, the show had other filming locations this season, some of which were restaurants or cafes. One of them is an ice cream shop called Holy Roly Ice Cream where Vanessa and Nicholas had a talk about their relationship. The shop has branches in various locations but the couple went to the one at Melrose Ave, Los Angeles.
Another filming location of Selling Sunset Season 5 was Fig & Olive restaurant in Newport Beach. Heather holds her bridal shower here but unfortunately, this branch of Fig & Olive is currently closed down.

Is the show based on a true story? Are the lives of the brokers really that glamorous and dramatic? Is the show scripted or real? It turns out the show is not scripted and is actually based on real people with real lives. So, these people do the same job, in the same offices and places, in real life as well. One thing that is the product of the show would be the amplified drama that goes on at certain points of the show. And some of the cast members said that through editing some of the events are a little exaggerated and that’s all.
