In The Devil is a Part-Timer we see the story of Demon Lord Satan as he tries to conquer the world of Ente Isla. With the help of his demon generals Alciel, Lucifer, Malacoda, and Adramelech, he seeks to add Ente Isla’s 4 continents in order to conquer it. After he’s defeated by Emilia and her friends, Satan and Alciel manage to escape Ente Isla and end up in modern-day Japan (Tokyo, to be exact). Emilia follows the twosome, but the lack of magic in the outside world forces them to act as normal human beings. In order to survive, Emilia and Satan make an unlikely alliance.

The Japanese light novel series was written by Satoshi Wagahara, and it was illustrated by Oniku. The anime adaptation of the novel series was produced by White Fox and 13 episodes have aired in 2013. The 2nd Season of the show was produced by 3Hz, and it aired from July to September 2022. The trio is shocked to find out that in Tokyo, Japan they do not hold their usually held powers. So, they’re all forced to put on a sort of “costume” and act as normal, powerless humans. This leads them to become an unlikely trio, trying to protect themselves from our world and return to their own world!

We see him trapped in a human body, and to survive in the outside world, he starts working as a part-timer in MgRonald’s (a parody of McDonald’s). What can be more human than that? In addition to these, he can also transform into his more powerful demon form. He can only use this when he has magic powers.
