DC managed to produce another popular program with the Stargirl series, and fans are wondering if there will be a Stargirl Season 3. Being one of the most popular shows on television, we got to watch new episodes of Stargirl every Monday and the same episodes were also broadcast on The CW, giving fans a lot of places to follow the adventure. However, we are expecting Stargirl Season 3 to be also available on Netflix, one of the most popular streaming platforms today.
Season 2 of Stargirl hit our screens in August 2021 after almost a year following Season 1’s premiere and it was a quite successful season, following the steps of the 1st one. At the end of that last season, we watched how Courtney Whitmore and the Justice Society defeated Eclipso, but what is next for our heroes? Guess we will see that in Stargirl Season 3.
Stargirl Season 3
We managed to watch Stargirl Season 1 in August 2020, and it was moved to The CW for its 2nd season since the network declared itself as a superhero-show-only broadcaster. Concerning Stargirl Season 3, The CW has yet to issue an official confirmation for the production of the show even though we got one from the official Twitter account of Stargirl. We do not have an official announcement related to the confirmation of the show from the CW, so we still do not have a release date for Stargirl Season 3. But looking at the past release dates, it is highly possible that Stargirl Season 3 might meet with us in August 2022.
In May 2021, the production team confirmed the extension of the Stargirl series via a tweet, but unless the CW says anything about it, you shouldn’t get your hopes up.

If Stargirl Season 3 was to happen, we are sure some of the key members would return, such as Brec Bassinger in the role of Courtney Whitmore – Stargirl, Yvette Monreal in the role of Yolanda Montez, Beth Chapel played by Anjelika Washington, Cameron Gellman in the role of Rick Tyler, Mike Dugan played by Trae Romano, Henry King Jr played by Jake Austin Walker, and Cindy Burman as Shiv.
You can watch the trailer of Stargirl Season 2 below if you want to remember some key events.
Given how famous comic book superheroes are getting their own shows and movies, it is pretty easy to forget the actual comic books which were the starting point of them. The situation is pretty relatable for the case of DC Comics such as Batman and Superman but many people do not seem to realize Stargirl has its own comic book. If you are a fan of comic books and liked Stargirl’s show, we recommend checking out the Stargirl book which might curb your excitement for Stargirl Season 3.
In the Season 2 ending of DC’s Stargirl, we watched how Eclipso has fallen down to the hands of the good and the people were saved once more.
However, it did not happen immediately for the Justice Society to capture the epic villain, things were once looking bleak for them when they were marching down the Main Street for the fight.
Yolanda has returned to the show as Wildcat, and Cindy/Shiv was only a temporary recruit, but they managed to bring down the villain in the end. Along the journey to his own demise, we saw Eclipso bragging about his magnificent plan to unite the Shadowlands and Earth but it was all in vain.
We also watched him trying to persuade Stargirl that her father did not want her at all. However, Stargirl and Starman successfully removed Eclipso from his new host eventually and brought a clear conclusi̇on to Season 2.
In sum, Stargirl Season 2 was amazing to watch and it only makes us more curious about what is awaiting us for Stargirl Season 3. The CW, be quick and make an announcement soon!
