In the movie, Ray Donovan is on the hunt for his father, Micky Donovan, who is missing in the wind, and Ray must track him down and prevent him from committing any additional harm. What we liked the most about the movie was the past and present were intertwined throughout the plot, and you could see the indications of the past-future scenario, creating one complicated storyline.

We saw Ray Donovan’s original cast members return to reprise their roles in the movie, so the actors who are listed here can also be seen in the series. As expected, Liev Schreiber played the title character Ray Donovan, and Jon Voight, who plays Mickey Donovan, was still seen as the worst dad ever.

He also has a tremendous sense of duty for his children and brothers, and you can see Ray always being extra protective of them.
