Netflix has a lot to offer to its audience. And yet, few shows or new releases are as exciting as the Raising Dion Season 3.
We hope you have had a great 2022 so far. The past couple of years has been really rough for most of us. The global pandemic has impacted everything from top to bottom and we had to keep up with every single change while trying to protect our health. At such a difficult period, we were in desperate need of TV shows to keep our minds busy.
Raising Dion Explained!
And yet, the entertainment sector has been affected by the pandemic pretty bad, ending up causing a lot of shows to be postponed to an unknown date. Raising Dion has become one of those shows as it couldn’t have a new season since 2019, the year it initially premiered. The idea of the Raising Dion emerged back in 2015 when Dennis Liu published a 24-page long short story about a boy and his single mother and their struggle with the unexpected superpowers and the difficulty to stay in the light in face of darkness.
Soon, the story turned into a short movie, which was highly praised by both the critics and the audience. Then, Netflix bought the idea and turned it into this brilliant show that we have been demanding at least 5 seasons of.
Raising Dion Season 2
Season 2 of the show has finally got released on Netflix as of today, after 3 long years. Thankfully, it is everything we expected and more. A lot more things at stake this time and we don’t even know who to support at this point. Even Pat, who ruined everything back in Season 1, is a really sympathetic character in Season 2 and we cannot help but to feel for him.
“He returns tentatively with his tail between his legs like he’s sorry for everything that happened in the first season. He basically comes back because he thinks that the threat that he was in last season is still out there, even though it is now separate from him. So he’s saying, “I’m not a threat anymore, but I’m trying to warn you that the real threat is still out there with somebody else.” Unfortunately, he’s having a tough time making inroads with the people that he betrayed, for good reason. But he’s trying,” said Jason Ritter, who is playing the character in an interview recently.
As you can see, we have fewer villains, and more likable characters this season. Besides, even though Nicole had to face death at one point, we got very few remarkable deaths throughout the season. Despite all these, somehow this season is a lot darker than Season 1, suggesting that Season 3 will be even darker.
Raising Dion Season 3 Release Date
We expect Season 3 to hit Netflix sometime in 2023. We know that Raising Dion likes to make us wait for it, but let us tell you, we no longer have the patience to wait for the show for another 3 years so it better be released in accordance with a normal schedule. We expect the trailer of the show to be released around December 2022.
As far as the cast is concerned, we will probably see Ja’Siah Young, Nicole played by Alisha Wainwright, Pat played by Jason Ritter, Brayden played by Griffin Robert Faulkner, Janelle Carr played by Aubriana Davis, Esperanza played by Sammi Haney, Jonathan King played by Gavin Munn, Tevin Wakefield as Rome Flynn, Biona Suzanne Wu as Ali Ahn, and Aunty Kat as Jazmyn Simon.
