The American television miniseries, titled Obi-Wan Kenobi, was made for the Disney+ streaming platform and starred the same-named Star Wars character. The series, created by Joby Harold and helmed by Deborah Chow, is set ten years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

The Star Wars Anthology Series was later referred to as The Walt Disney Company – Lucasfilm Ltd.’s project to produce several cinematic features apart from the core, episodic Star Wars narrative. Ewan McGregor, who portrayed Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars pre-trilogy, was given the role to reprise when talk of a prospective Obi-Wan Kenobi-centered film first surfaced as part of the anthology series. McGregor, though, abandoned the endeavor in 2015.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Plot

Between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, Obi-Wan Kenobi’s story will take place as he tries to save a young Luke Skywalker on Tatooine. While the Sith-ruled Galactic Empire searches for all remaining Jedi and their allies, Kenobi tries to stay hidden.

The Inquisitions, a team of hunters working for the Empire under the direction of the Grand Inquisitor, will be pursuing Kenobi. Obi-Wan Kenobi is the target of the Inquisitors’ quest for all remaining Jedi. Still, Kenobi is critical because of both his renown and the reason the Inquisitors are after the Master Jedi.

Hayden Christensen, who played the Sith Lord at the finale of Revenge of the Sith, will reprise his role as Darth Vader, whose appearance in the series has been confirmed. Both Revenges of the Sith and its precursor Attack of the Clones featured Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. Vader’s entire screen time and the number of episodes he will appear in are presently unknown.

The fans will undoubtedly anticipate a rematch between Vader and his former master at some point in the series, aside from his initial pursuit of Kenobi. Vader’s famous quote from A New Hope follows: “I’ve been waiting for you, Obi-Wan. We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner. Now, I am the master.”

Obi-Wan Kenobi Ending Explained

Obi-Wan Kenobi could have ended in only one way: with the Jedi Master riding out into the distance wearing his battle armor, Darth Vader vanquished, and Luke and Leia returning home in safety. And we are also aware of what follows.

In nine years, two droids will crash land on Tatooine carrying a letter from Princess Leia, starting an adventure that would permanently alter the lives of Luke and Obi-Wan. However, as Obi-Wan Kenobi has already demonstrated, these people may still experience a lot of other events before then. Untold tales that are just waiting to be told indeed exist somewhere.

The limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi follows the titular Jedi (Ewan McGregor) as he leaves his quiet existence on Tatooine to save Princess Leia (Vivian Lyra Blair) from the Empire’s Inquisitors and bring her safely back to Alderaan. It is set 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith. Together with the Empire and Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen, James Earl Jones) getting closer with each new episode, Leia and Obi-quest Wan’s has not been simple.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Review

It’s the conclusion of the Obi-Wan Kenobi season, or should I say series. Many of us have experienced seeing a piece of our youth return during the last month. Fans have been eagerly anticipating the Obi-Wan Kenobi series with high anticipation since the news that both Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen will return for the series. Although the expectations were relatively high, the fact that many fans hold these characters in high regard also caused fan apprehension regarding the show.

On Rotten Tomatoes, Obi-Wan Kenobi presently has an audience score of 63 percent and an approval rating of 83 percent. Although the show has received certified fresh ratings, there was an apparent fanbase rift throughout the weeks the show was on.
