Ever since Queer Eye was released in 2018, we have been interested in the lives of the “Fab Five”, the 5 members of the Queer Eye cast, both on and off-screen. The original Queer Eye aired in 2003 and was initially titled Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and when the reboot was announced its official slogan was “more than a makeover”. That turned out to be true and our Fab Five quickly won our hearts with their fun personalities and lifestyles.
There are 6 seasons of Queer Eye existing at the moment, the last of which was released in December 2021. All seasons are available on Netflix and each season has only 10 episodes. The reality series has been getting a lot of critical attention, receiving a score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. It is also obvious that viewers cannot get enough of the series since it has been going on for a long time now. The ambiguity of the arrival of a 7th season still continues, as there were not any official announcements on the subject.
We should also cut some slack to the producers and the cast since the last season was released only 3 months ago. We are sure this fan-favorite show will be coming back for another season. We are also aware that the show owes its success to its amazing cast members whose love lives have been of interest to the media since Queer Eye first started.
Jonathan Van Ness
Jonathan Van Ness is the grooming expert in Queer Eye as he gives advice on hair, grooming, makeup, and personal hygiene. The tv-personality is 34 years old and was born in Illinois, U.S. He is a hairdresser but he also hosts his own podcast called Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness.
Van Ness is a newly-wed, marrying his boyfriend Mark Peacock in 2020. The actor announced in December 2020 that he had married earlier that year to his partner Peacock. The couple is still going strong and has been sharing photographs on Instagram.
Karamo Brown is a culture and lifestyle expert in Queer Eye as he has been giving advice on popular culture, social life, and relationships. Brown (41 years old- who could believe it?) first started to appear in another reality show called The Real World: Philadelphia, in 2004, becoming the 1st openly gay black man on a reality show.
Brown was in a 10-year-long relationship with director Ian Jordan until 2020. The couple even became engaged in 2018 but their relationship ended in 2020, a subject which Brown talked about on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He is currently single. Brown learned in 2007 that he had a 10-year-old boy, born from his high-school girlfriend who did not tell him that she was pregnant. After receiving custody of his son, he also adopted his son’s half-brother Chris, 3 years later.
