One of the most popular and favorite animated series on Netflix, Love Death and Robots’ last season came in May 2021 and now we are impatiently waiting for Love Death and Robots Season 3. The series is a collection of different stories that belong to various genres like science fiction, horror, fantasy, and comedy. Its 1st season was released in March 2019 and of course, like every other series, the show had production delays due to Covid. So, its 2nd season had to come 2 years later.
The show’s Season 1 had a total of 18 episodes and Season 2 only had 8. What about the 3rd season though, we can hear you asking. Well, let’s see what kind of information we can give you about the show’s Season 3.

When Netflix released the trailer for Love Death and Robots Season 2, it also announced that the series would be returning for a Volume 3 in 2022. Netflix didn’t indicate a specific time for the release of the 3rd season at that time. However, only a week ago, Netflix released a special teaser for the show’s much-anticipated Season 3 (you can watch the teaser below).
At the end of the teaser, there is a writing that says “Vol. 3 May 20” which obviously means that there is less than a month before the release of the new season. According to certain sources, Season 3 will also have 8 episodes like the previous one. We guess Netflix and the producers got pretty comfortable with doing only 8 episodes and we have nothing left to do but respect that. At this point, we just want to watch the series, we don’t care how many episodes are there.

Love Death and Robots Season 3 Trailer
Love Death and Robots Season 3 trailer actually starts strange by showing 2 other highly successful Netflix series, The Crown and The Queen’s Gambit. It seems like Netflix compares Season 3 of the animated series with the success of the other TV shows which won multiple Emmys. After the comparison, we witness a flood of different scenes from the new season, all of which are exciting and suspenseful, to say the least. The shots from the 3rd season are blended with some of the memorable moments from Vol. 1 and Vol. 2.
Love Death and Robots Season 3 trailer includes many electrifying scenes, like people discovering a giant body on the beach, 3 robots arguing with each other, crazy monsters, people kissing, and mysterious characters. We know very well that all of these elements are what make the series such a critically acclaimed well done series. Count us excited!

It was announced last year that the series was getting an official illustrated companion book called “The Art of Love Death and Robots”. The book will provide you with insight into how the series was thought and brought to the screen. It will feature concept art, paintings, sketches, costume sketches, vehicle designs, storyboards, and much more! It will also include interviews with the show’s creators David Fincher and Tim Miller.
One of the most exciting elements of the book will definitely be the foreword, written by John Scalzi, the science fiction author whose 3 different short stories were adapted in Season 1 of the series. The Art of Love Death and Robots will be available starting from May 31, 2022, a few weeks after the release of the 3rd season.
