In January 1817, Jane Austen began writing her final work, which she initially titled The Brothers. She renamed it Sanditon after that. Austen had ceased writing her final novel in March 1871, roughly three months before her death, with eleven chapters completed. Then, on July 18, 1817, she died. Sanditon was published under the name of Fragment of a Novel in 1925.

Will there be Part 2 of Sanditon?
Yes, there will be the 2nd part of Sanditon. The television series was canceled by the British television network ITV in 2019 because of the low ratings, which upset the show’s fans. ITV, on the other hand, could no longer ignore the fan community’s demands for a new season. Sanditon has been renewed for seasons 2 and 3, and filming began in July 2021, according to the television network’s announcement. Thankfully, we only have a few days till we see Sanditon on TV again! Season 2 of Sanditon will premiere on Masterpiece on PBS on March 20, 2022, at 9:00 p.m. There will be six episodes in the 2nd season.

On May 7, 2021, Masterpiece PBS confirmed on Twitter that Sidney Parker would not be returning; nonetheless, Charlotte is in for a world of adventure and romance. They also published Theo James’ message about his exit, in which he stated that Sydney’s adventure ended the way he wanted it to. It has been rumored that James will not be returning because he is working on other projects.

Beginning March 20, Sanditon Season 2 will air on Masterpiece PBS. Season 1 of Sanditon is now available to watch on Amazon’s Masterpiece Channel. Apple TV+, Google Play, Verizon, Vudu, FandangoNOW, and Comcast all have the first season available. The first season of Sanditon is also available on DVD.

Sanditon Season 2 will consist of six episodes, as opposed to eight in the previous season. In the 2nd season, Rose Williams reprises her role as Charlotte Heywood, Anne Reid as Lady Denham, Kate Ashfield as Mary Parker, Crystal Clarke as Georgiana Lambe, and Kris Marshall as Tom Parker. Two additional actors are reportedly not returning to Sanditon Season 2 alongside Theo James. Mark Stanley, who played Lord Babington, and Leo Suter, who played Young Stringer, are sadly omitted from the 2nd season’s cast.
