It’s about a zombie apocalypse that takes place in a local high school that’s overrun by zombies after a failed science experiment. The students are trapped in the school with no equipment, food, water or communication. Either they fight with the zombies and defeat them, or they get bitten and turn into zombies one by one. All of Us Are Dead is based on a Korean webtoon comic, also known as Manhwa, titled Now at Our School by Joo Dong-geun, which was published between 2009 and 2011. The comic was discontinued after 130 episodes. It’s available for reading online.

All of Us Are Dead received mostly positive reviews from both critics and viewers. On Rotten Tomatoes, the series received an 83% rating from Tomatometer and 78% from viewers. The consensus from critics on the site is that “While All of Us Are Dead loses some of its bite with an overlong season, its emotional grounding puts plenty of meat on the bone.” The IMDb rating, on the other hand, is 7.5, which is pretty good. So it seems that most critics and viewers generally liked the series, with the exception of the long episodes (about 50-70 minutes) and the overlong season (12 episodes in Season 1).
The series contains severe violence, profanity and bloody scenes, as well as frightening and intense scenes. Thus, it’s recommended for adults only.

Jang Ha-ri, a talented archer in her senior year, and Jang Woo-jin, a grade 2-5 student, are siblings in All of Us Are Dead. Ha-ri is the older sister of Woo-jin.
Woo-jin makes a great sacrifice in Yangdong, a town to which the survivors have fled and which they assume is free of zombies. When a zombie tried to bite Ha-ri, Woo-jin jumps in front of her and gets bitten instead of her sister, then transforms. Then Nam-ra kills him by snapping his neck to prevent him from killing anyone else. Woo-jin’s death was upsetting for the viewers because he’d always kept an eye on his sister and worried about her archery career, even just before his death.

For Ha-ri, too, Woo-jin’s death was heartbreaking. But thanks to her brother, she survived and made it to the end. With her archery skills and courage, Ha-ri also saved some of her friends.
