The Hangover 4 is back on the agenda and the reason for the hype for the 4th movie can be easily guessed: Twitter! A recent tweet got out of hand to create confusion about whether there will be a Hangover 4 movie or not. But the real question is, are the film’s creators and actors eager to return for Hangover 4?
The 1st movie, Hangover was released in 2009 and people just adored the movie, as you can see the love from the attention it received from the fans shortly after its release in the theaters. The love and attention got the producers working, and we had the chance to watch Hangover 2 and Hangover 3 in 2013.
It has been 9 years until the release of the last movie, so it looks like the comeback of Hangover 4 does not make much sense. But is that true or not? If it is true, why is Twitter stirring with all the rumors about Hangover 4?

Hangover 4 Release Date
Ed Helms is one of the actors that we got to know through the 3 movies released, and he made some upsetting comments for the fans of the Hangover franchise related to The Hangover 4 in a 2019 interview. The famous actor spread rumors that the Hangover 4 would never be made for the reason that the 1st film was good and received very high scores, but the next 2 movies were poor and dissatisfied the critics.
The famous actor was also asked a question about how likely it is that The Hangover Part 4 will be released, and he said that “the chances of a Hangover 4 are between zero and zero”.
So, it apparently looks like the 2 most recent films lacked the success and flavor of the 1st Hangover movie and that is the reason why the producers are hesitant to go for Hangover 4.
What is Hangover Part 4 About?
We are sadly saying that Hangover 4 will not happen, so we cannot give any information about what will the next movie be about, but we can only guess.
If there were to be Hangover 4, it is very reasonable to assume that it will maintain the same format: the famous 4-man group will get into trouble and try to figure out how to get out of the situation.
For the next movie, we can expect Alan to command the Wolfpack on another crazy misadventure. However, we do not think that we will be able to see their next adventure since the last movie seems like the end of the Hangover franchise.
However, we can talk about the 1st one, The Hangover (2009), which was inspired by genuine events involving Tripp Vinson who is a friend of executive producer Chris Bender.
When Phil, Stu, and Alan -the epic trio from the 1st movie- woke up one day, they remember being at Doug’s bachelor celebration, and they later realize that the party has gone tragically wrong. They could not find Doug, and none of them could remember what happened last night and it drove them crazy, leading them to try to figure out what they have done during the night.
How many Hangover movies are there?
There are 3 Hangover movies that you can watch to have fun on a Saturday night: The Hangover (2009), The Hangover Part II (2011), and The Hangover Part III (2013), and all of them revolve around the Wolfpack, presenting some insane and fun scenarios.
Briefly explaining, the 1st film brought the Wolfpack to Las Vegas and the 2nd to Bangkok with the sole purpose of entertaining us, but it seems like the 2nd movie could not get the success rate the producers have expected.
For that reason, they wanted to take a different turn and the 3rd and final installment of the trilogy was unlike the first 2 movies. In Hangover Part III, we went along with the gang to embark on a road trip and encountered Mr. Chow, the eccentric drug kingpin who generally serves as the films’ antagonist.
Hangover Cast
In the 1st movie which introduced a very entertaining plot, we watched Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), and Doug (Justin Bartha) as they meet Doug’s would-be brother-in-law Alan (Zach Galifianakis). We also had the chance the watch Jeffrey Tambor, Sondra Currie, Sasha Barrese, and Gillian Vigman as supporting actors who helped us to keep up with the crazy adventures of the pack.
The Hangover franchise revolves entirely around Wolfpack, and we expect to see the same for Hangover 4; moreover, we cannot ever imagine another movie without Cooper, Helms, Galifianakis, Bartha, and Jeong.
