Alex’s spouse, Tom Kirkman, was the United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development unless a terrorist assault at the State of the Union speech murdered the President and his cabinet members.
Because her spouse was chosen as the designated survivor, he was inaugurated, crowning her First Lady. She has two children that she takes care of with her husband, and their names are Leo Kirkman and Penny Kirkman.
