Shichi As is the author and illustrator of the Japanese comedy manga series The Disaster of Psi Kusuo Saiki.

Kusuo Saiki appears to have an easy existence because he was born with superhuman abilities. He has a variety of psychic powers, including telepathy and psychokinesis, among others, which enable him to achieve any goal. He unwittingly attracted the attention of the local media during kindergarten due to rumors about his Rock Paper Scissors battles with his classmates and instructor.

2. Komi Can’t Communicate

Hitohito Tadano is a typical young man who enters his first day of high school with a specific goal: to stay out of trouble and try to fit in. Unfortunately, he immediately fails as he sits next to Shouko Komi, the school’s icon. His classmates now view him as someone to get rid of if they want to sit next to the class’s most attractive lady.

Despite her secretive character, Komi is stunning and elegant with long black hair, and she is incredibly popular. She has terrible anxiety and communication impairment, which prohibit her from fully interacting with her peers, but nobody knows.

Komi is visually impaired and struggles to communicate with people through writing on the blackboard. Tadano takes up the chalk and starts writing beside her, becoming her very first buddy.

3. Blue Period

Yatora Yaguchi, a delinquent in his second year of high school, has good marks but lacks the will to discover his real purpose. Yatora spends time socializing with his similarly unambitious pals and works hard to retain his academic rank. Underneath his calm exterior, though, Yatora finds neither activity enjoyable and wishes he could find something more rewarding.

Tokyo University of the Arts only accepts one in every two hundred applicants. Yatora is an aspiring artist who struggles to obtain his parents’ approval. In the hopes of securing one of the five prestigious spots in his program of choice, he must show that his inexperience does not define him.

4. High-Rise Invasion

Yuri Honjou, 16, sees a man’s skull being split apart with an ax and quakes in terror as she runs from the mask-wearing attacker. However, she soon discovers that she is stranded in an abandoned building where all of the doors are strangely shut.

Yuri rushes to the rooftop in a desperate attempt to find a way out, but what she finds there is a world devoid of any life and surrounded by tall skyscrapers. Despite feeling hopeless, Yuri is determined to find her brother and leave after learning that he, too, is in this weird realm.

However, she swiftly learns that the area is home to other disguised assassins, eager to frighten their newly discovered victims and indulge their sickest fantasies, causing Yuri to wonder if they will be able to escape alive.

5. Violet Evergarden

After four long years of fighting, the Great War ended. Split in two, the Telesian continent slowly started to recover. Violet Evergarden, a young child, created with the express aim of destroying enemy lines, got caught up in the carnage. She was left with nothing more than the words of the person she valued most, but she had no grasp of what they meant. She had been hospitalized and crippled in a violent conflict during the War’s last phase.

After being injured in an accident, Violet begins a new life as a postman’s “Auto Memory Doll,” A machine that records people’s innermost emotions as written words. Violet is moved by the idea and decides to take on the role of an Auto Memory Doll.

6. Toradora!

A kind-hearted high school student who likes performing chores is Ryuuji Takasu, but despite his kind attitude, people sometimes mistake him for a troublemaker because of his frightening appearance. On the other side, Taiga Aisaka, a little student who resembles a doll, is anything from a sweet and delicate girl. Taiga is the “Palmtop Tiger” throughout the school and is armed with a wooden katana.

7. Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma

Souma Yukihira has been cooking alongside his father Jouichirou for as long as he can remember. He aspires to exceed his father’s skill and take over the restaurant one day. Souma finds himself enrolling at the prestigious Tootsuki Culinary Academy.
