6. Sweet Girl 2021

Jason Momoa plays a man who is both emotional and intelligent in this film. It is pretty tough to assess an actor’s performance who can play any part!

A bereaved husband swears revenge on those responsible for his wife’s death while safeguarding his daughter’s one family he has left.

Momoa’s persona as a “large dude with a huge heart” serves him well in “Sweet Girl,” and the absence of deception in his portrayal portrays two extremes: the impermeable pain he’s holding after his wife’s murder and the surety with which he targets Keeley and his companions. The battle scenes in the film are unnecessarily cut, but Momoa holds his own, hurling his body around with conviction and passion.

While not bad, Momoa’s performance in Frontier ranks at the bottom of our ranking.

The series features Declan Harp (Jason Momoa), a half-Irish, half-Cree criminal fighting to break the Hudson’s Bay Company’s monopoly on the Canadian fur trade, which has become corrupt and engages in illegal activities to enrich itself.
