Aamir Khan, a Hindi cinema actor, director, and producer, was born on March 14, 1965. Khan has made a name as one of the most well-known and influential performers in Indian film throughout the course of his 30-year career.

Khan has received multiple prizes, including nine Filmfare Awards, four National Film Awards, an AACTA Award, and an Academy Award nomination for one of his film projects. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2003 and the Padma Bhushan in 2010, and the Chinese government gave him an honorary title in 2017.

He has a massive global fan base, particularly in India and China, and has been dubbed “the world’s largest movie star” by Newsweek. HHe has been designated one of the 500 Most Influential Muslims in the World many times. Khan is an activist and humanitarian that he has advocated for a variety of social causes, some of which have created political controversy.

1. Dangal

We can say that Dangal includes the acting of Amar Khan, where he shows himself in the best way. Khan produced and acted in Dangal in 2016, playing wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. He played him at various ages, from 20 to 60; he weighed 98 kg to play the elder Phogat before shedding weight to play the younger version. Critics gave the film positive reviews and became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in the United States, topping PK for the fifth time.

2. 3 Idiots

As you won’t be surprised, 3 idiots come in second place. Khan played Ranchodas Chanchad in 3 Idiots in 2009. The film broke Ghajini’s previous record as the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time. At the time, 3 Idiots was one of the few Indian films to be a hit in East Asian countries like China and Japan, making it the highest-grossing Bollywood film ever in international markets.

3. PK

Khan starred as the titular alien in Rajkumar Hirani’s comedy-drama PK in 2014. The film received positive reviews and went on to become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time. Critics generally lauded Khan’s performance, including Tamil prominent actor Vijay, who was amazed by Aamir’s accuracy and commitment and allegedly watched the film with his family on Christmas Eve.

4. Ghajini

Khan starred in the film Ghajini in 2008. The film was a commercial success, being the highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year. Khan garnered multiple Best Actor nods for his performance in the movie, including his 15th Filmfare Best Actor nomination.

5. Taare Zameen Par

In 2007, he made his directorial debut with Taare Zameen Par, which he also produced. The film, Aamir Khan Productions’ second release, received good reviews from reviewers and audiences alike. Khan’s acting was well-received, but his direction earned the most praise. Khan won two Filmfare Awards in 2007: Best Director and Best Film.

6. Lagaan

Khan began working as a producer after establishing Aamir Khan Productions in 1999, with Lagaan serving as the company’s debut film. It was chosen as India’s official entry for the 74th Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category, making it the country’s third nomination.

7. Thugs of Hindostan

He co-starred alongside Amitabh Bachchan in the action-adventure movie Thugs of Hindostan in November 2018. The movie received poor reviews from critics.

8. Secret Superstar

Khan appeared as a supporting actor in his production Secret Superstar in October 2017. The film went on to become one of the most profitable films of all time.

9. Fanaa

While in Gujarat to promote his film Fanaa, he made some remarks on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi’s handling of the Narmada Dam and the need to rehabilitate the displaced villages.

10. Dil Chahta Hai

Dil Chahta Hai followed Lagaan’s triumph later that year. Farhan Akhtar, as a debutante, wrote and directed the film, which received the 2001 Filmare Critics Award for Best Film.

11. Talaash: The Answer Lies Within

Khan next starred in Talaash: The Answer Lies Within, a psychological crime thriller. It was directed by Reema Kagti and co-produced by Excel Entertainment and Khan’s production firm. It starred two of Khan’s regular co-stars, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji. Khan, who had never learned to swim, went through extensive training for this underwater passage. He had been taught for three months by a qualified trainer and was fully prepared for the shoot.

12. Rang De Basanti

He started Aamir Khan Productions in 1999, and his debut film, Lagaan (2001), was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, as well as a National Film Award for Best Popular Film and two additional Filmfare Awards (Best Actor and Best Film). Khan returned to starring parts after a four-year break, most notably in Fanaa (2006) and Rang De Basanti (2008).
