Young, Famous, and African is an African reality series that focuses on a group of well-known young media personalities from around Africa and we are excited for Young Famous and African Season 2. The show covers their personal and professional lives, which are both adventurous and, as a result, interesting for us. The Netflix program, produced by Peace Hyde and Martin Asare Amankwa, debuted in March 2022.
They drive fancy automobiles, drink pricey champagne, and dress to the nines and we expect the same from Young Famous and African Season 2. From actors and models to entrepreneurs and influencers, these are some of the city’s most gorgeous residents and we get to follow their lives (and all their drama!) as they unfold.
While such programming is not new to Netflix, ‘Young, Famous & African’ is the platform’s first original African reality series. The 1st season contains all of the ingredients that make reality show fans happy: it’s dramatic, gripping, and showcases characters flaunting their extravagant lifestyles. So it’s no surprise that fans have already binge-watched the 1st season and are eagerly awaiting Young Famous and African Season 2.
So, would there be a 2nd season? Let’s see what will happen!

Young, Famous and African Release Date
Season 1 of ‘Young, Famous, and African’ was uploaded on Netflix in its entirety on March 18, 2022. The 1st season consists of seven episodes, each lasting 32-52 minutes. We except Young Famous and African Season 2 to be in the same length.
Here’s what we know about Young Famous and African Season 2. Netflix has yet to issue an official announcement confirming the series’ renewal or termination. Most of the time, the streamer will wait a few months and see how a title does before ordering another batch. As a result, we are unlikely to hear anything for another month or two.
Furthermore, as the platform’s first African reality series, Netflix may want to keep the show rolling. This suggests that a second edition may be on the way. Furthermore, the 1st season appeared to be met with widespread acclaim and affection from people all across the world.
As a result, many fans will be upset if the program is not renewed for Young Famous and African Season 2. Taking everything into consideration, if the second installment is relaunched by the end of Summer 2022, we may expect Young Famous and African Season 2 to arrive in 2023.
Is Young, Famous and African on Netflix?
On Young, Famous & African, which is now available on Netflix, a bunch of affluent twenty-somethings gathers in Johannesburg to live their best lives. They want love, success, relationships, and everything in between.

Young, Famous and African Cast
The 1st season of the reality series featured young African talents as they linked with one another in search of possibilities to advance their careers. Simultaneously, another part of their life that took center stage was romance, with some of them even interested in rekindling former relationships. As predicted, this resulted in some heated drama. The 1st season finale concluded on an uncertain note due to various unsolved concerns among the cast members.
Young, Famous, and African features some of Africa’s biggest performers, including Annie Idibia, Khanyi Mbau, Nadia Nakai, Quinton Masina, and Diamond Platinumz. Kayleigh Schwark, Jeremiah Ogbodo a.k.a. Swanky Jerry, Andile Ncube, Zari Hassan, and 2Baba round out the cast.
Khanyi Mbau, a TV star, leads the cast. The Queen of Bling is well-known for her acting career as well as her personal life, which has made headlines.
Diamond is one of Tanzania’s most famous stars. He is the first Sub-Saharan African musician to get over 1 billion YouTube views and has been nominated for three BET Awards.
Annie is a model, artist, and presenter from Nigeria who is married to artist 2Baba. In 2015, 2Baba was the first recipient of MTV Europe’s Best African Act Award. Annie was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Best of Nollywood Awards in 2009.
Nadia Nakai was shortlisted for Artist of the Decade at the South African Hip Hop Awards in 2021.
As a result, we may expect to see the most, if not all of them return for a potential Young Famous and African Season 2. After all, a lot happened with the aforementioned folks in the 1st season that would necessitate some investigation. Furthermore, if the program is renewed, we cannot rule out the prospect of seeing some new faces in Young Famous and African Season 2.
