If you’re a Stranger Things fan, you’re probably aware of some of the discussion around Will Byers’ and other Stranger Things characters’ sexuality. There has been suspicion that Will is gay because Mike once said that “It’s not my fault you don’t like girls”, and the suspicions have definitely increased over time. Billy Hargrove

Billy’s character has always been adversarial, whether possessed by the Mind Flayer or not and it is normal for adversarial characters in all forms of entertainment to be queer-coded, especially in this genre.

But it’s not simply Billy’s adversarial personality that makes him a queer-coded character: Billy made his first debut in Hawkins, and he was presented with hair metal should tell it all, especially because it’s something that deviates from traditional masculinity in every way. He has enormous hair and extravagant jewelry to the make-up, so he is definitely a queer Stranger Things character.

Eleven (Stranger Things)

Eleven (Stranger Things)

Eleven was abducted and raised at Hawkins National Laboratory, where she was subjected to experiments, Hopper then took Eleven in as his adoptive daughter. This also enabled her to accompany Mike to the Snow Ball dance, and from the first time they met, there has been something going on between Mike and Eleven. So, Eleven is most likely a straight Stranger Things character.

Steve Harrington

Steve Harrington

Steve was great friends with Tommy H. and Carol Perkins, and he was Nancy Wheeler’s boyfriend. Steve later suspected her of cheating on Jonathan Byers, but he changed his mind and left his friends to set out to make things right between Nancy. In 1985, Steve worked at Scoops Ahoy ice cream business with Robin, who scolded him when he went out with the girls. Considering all of these, Steve is a 100% straight Stranger Things character.

Will Byers

Will was never interested in dating, and he just desired that the gang just play Dungeons & Dragons every day. Will even warned Mike that he was throwing away their relationship for just a “girl”, and Mike said, “It’s not my fault you don’t like girls,” and added that Eleven is his girlfriend. This was a clear indication that Will is a gay Stranger Things character, he is just trying to accept himself.

Max Mayfield

Being included in the 2nd season, Max is a newbie to the group and the ex-girlfriend of Lucas Sinclair. Max attends the Snow Ball with Lucas and formally becomes his girlfriend when they kiss while dancing. So, yes, Max is straight.

Demogorgon

The beast of the 1st season was ultimately vanquished in a battle at Hawkins Middle School, and Eleven utilized her telekinesis to incinerate it in a matter of seconds. We do not know whether Demogorgon has a gender or not.

Mike Wheeler

Mike Wheeler

Mike and Eleven had a particular bond as he was the first of his buddies to believe El and even fell in love with her. His admiration for her grew as she assisted and protected him, so it looks like Mike is another straight Stranger Things character.

Nancy Wheeler

Around the year 1984, Steve and Nancy started dating, but they later broke up. Nancy, then, went on with her life and dated Jonathan. That makes two boys in a row, so it looks like Nancy is also straight.
