Gil Birmingham is an actor best known for his role as Billy Black in the Twilight Saga film series as well as portraying Thomas Rainwater in Yellowstone. Birmingham was born in the Texas city of San Antonio. Due to his father’s military job, his family relocated frequently during his childhood.
He began playing the guitar at a young age and considers music to be his “first passion.” He worked as a petrochemical engineer before becoming an actor after earning a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California thanks to his successful academic skills.
When he was scouted in a gym during his body-building times, it resulted in his first acting role, in a music video for Diana Ross’s 1982 smash song “Muscles.” Birmingham started to pursue acting as a major vocation after performing in Ross’ song video.

Gil Birmingham Ethnicity
Gil Birmingham was born in San Antonio, Texas, in the United States and he belongs to Comanche heritage. Gilbert Birmingham is his father’s name, and Rozale is his mother’s. He also has a brother but we do not know his name yet.
1. Pieces of Her
Gil Birmingham, a Comanche-American actor, plays Andy’s buddy and father figure, who turns out to be an agent managing her and her mother’s witness protection in Pieces of Her. In the movie, Andrea Cooper is well-versed in her mother Laura’s life. She knows she’s lived her whole life in Belle Isle, a little coastal town; she knows she’s never sought anything more than to live a quiet life as a pillar of society; she knows she’s never hidden a secret in her life.
But everything changes when a Saturday afternoon excursion to the mall becomes violent, and Andrea discovers an entirely new side to Laura. Because it turns out that Laura was someone else before she was Laura. She’s been hiding from her prior identity for over thirty years, hoping no one will ever find her. But now that she’s been revealed, nothing will ever be the same.
Yellowstone is not about Yellowstone National Park. It was conceived by screenwriter Taylor Sheridan (Hell or High Water, Sicario, Wind River) and John Linson (whose lone writing credit is the Yellowstone pilot). It’s placed near a park, and characters occasionally travel there to have symbolically charged encounters with wolves. However, most of the action takes place at the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch in Montana. According to the show’s fiction, the ranch is the world’s largest property in the United States, and it has made the Dutton family, who control it, immensely wealthy. Gil Birmingham portrays Thomas Rainwater in this show.
Dale Bishop appears as a recurrent character on Freeform’s Siren. Gil Birmingham portrays him. Dale Bishop served as the Sheriff of Bristol Cove. He was Maddie Bishop’s stepfather as well. He had a schism with Maddie’s mother, Susan Bishop, whom he felt was being led by the Lord himself. In “The Toll of the Sea,” he died after protecting a woman and her son from the ravages of Tia’s Siren Song, and his body was discovered by Xander McClure, who became Sheriff following his death.
4. Hell or High Water
Hell or High Water is a film about rural Texas’ dispossessed landowners and the affluent and unscrupulous banks. It’s all about white Americans and Native Americans. This narrative, however, is not black and white, and eventually, we understand that there is no such thing as right and wrong. There is no doubt that a premeditated crime (and murder) is being perpetrated. Except that the majority of the impulses that build-up to these times are not based on the deeds of bad individuals in and of themselves. Gil Birmingham portrays Alberto Parker in this movie.
5. Wind River
Wind River is a crime story and a societal commentary about how different destinies meet to bring forth the truth, which stays unheard even at the expense of justice.
It tells the narrative of Cory Lambert (Jeremy Renner), a US Fish and Wildlife Service specialist tracker, and Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen), an FBI agent. They collaborate to solve the murder of two victims whose bodies were discovered in the snow on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. Gil Birmingham portrays Martin in this movie.
6. Twilight Saga
Gil Birmingham is William “Billy” Black, Jr. in the Twilight Saga series and he is the father of Rachel, Rebecca, and Jacob Black, as well as Solomon Finau’s father-in-law. It’s also plausible that he’s Embry Call’s father. Sarah Black, his wife, died in a vehicle accident while Rachel, Rebecca, and Jacob were small. He lives in La Push, Washington, and is wheelchair-bound owing to diabetic issues. He is Charlie Swan’s closest companion.
