With season one now available for viewing, fans -and us, of course- are wondering if there will be a season two of Inventing Anna.
Inventing Anna tells the tale of Anna Delvey (played by Julia Garner), a con artist who posed as a European princess. The show was launched on Netflix on Friday, February 11. The protagonist was infamous for winning New Yorkers’ hearts before taking their money, but her intentions were foiled when a reporter revealed what she had been up to.
There was a lot of excitement surrounding the commencement of this season, and for a valid reason. This is Rhimes’ first technically developed series in decades. While ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ and ‘Bridgerton’ were both huge blockbusters, she was not capable of creating the screenplays for either. Also, you have a flop-level star in Julia Garner, who has received a lot of attention as a result of Ozark.
Sadly, this is where the awful news comes in. The series, based on the New Yorker piece “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People,” is intended to be a one-and-done affair. It is inspired by a genuine story and was advertised as a limited series.
If you are still not sure about some topics, we will cover some of the stuff related to Inventing Anna in this post. If you are curious, keep reading to know about some of the most complicated ideas related to the show. Here is what we know about Inventing Anna:
Will Inventing Anna have a 2nd season?
In a nutshell, no. The show is marketed as a limited series, and the first season covers practically all of the facts concerning Delvey’s life as well as evidence from her friends and relatives from the story. Netflix has not hinted that the program would be renewed, and the finale effectively concludes the show’s storyline.
Is Inventing Anna on Netflix now?
All ten episodes of Inventing Anna are now viewable on the Netflix website. However, fans should not get too enthusiastic about its return because it has been labeled as a limited series.

This indicates that at the time the program was created, there were no plans to bring Inventing Anna back for a second season. The way the series concludes also implies that there will be no more episodes.
Who is Inventing Anna about?
The show Inventing Anna is partially based on the actual tale of Anna Sorokin, who used the alias Anna Delvey to get away with her frauds. By posing as a wealthy German heiress, she was able to dupe companies and acquaintances out of enormous quantities of money.
Anna was able to make hundreds of thousands of pounds from her victims as a consequence of her fraud. The tale is recounted through the eyes of journalist Vivian Kent (Anna Chlumsky), who investigates what Anna is up to. Anna adopted this alias for ten months, shocking several of her good friends when the truth was revealed.
Vivian is inspired by real New York Magazine reporter Jessica Pressler. She was the first to publish an in-depth piece about how Anna used others around her, and another one of her writings inspired the film ‘Hustlers’.
What Inventing Anna got wrong?
1. Vivian Kent was unable to persuade Anna to go to court
The first episode of Inventing Anna features Vivian Kent at work when she ignores the article assigned to her in order to follow and research Anna Delvey’s narrative.
One of the first challenges Vivian faces is that Anna may accept the agreement presented by the District Attorney’s office, rendering an investigation into her ineffective.
Vivian also believes she wants to write about Delvey. Not so much because she recognizes the story’s promise, but also to repair her national reputation as a reporter, as she previously published a falsehood in a listicle.
2. The actual Anna later apologized for her sins
Anna Sorokin, matching the behavior of Inventing Anna’s heroine, stated in an interview shortly after her imprisonment that she was not ashamed but regretted “the manner she went about some things.”
Although Sorokin and her character, played by Julie Garner in Inventing Anna, had that unapologetic mindset, the actual Sorokin altered her views in October 2019. Sorokin stated in a parole board meeting that her post-sentence comment was taken completely out of context and that she was “very humiliated and sincerely remorseful” for what she has done.
3. Vivian’s Visit To Germany Was Originally Arranged By Anna
In Inventing Anna episode 8, Vivian travels to Germany to learn more about Anna’s history and to question her relatives. Vivian follows Anna’s father to their old private residence in Eschweiler, where she is caught lurking by Anna’s brother.
Although Pressler traveled to Germany for research objectives, Anna’s parents anticipated her coming. Furthermore, Sorokin assisted Pressler in organizing the trip, recommending sites to travel, where she spent some time as a youngster and assisting her in making appointments.
