Episodes 1-3 are based on an investigator who tries to find out these mysterious conditions, The New Truth Society, and a righteous lawyer. Park Jeong-ja’s story is in this part. In the second part of the show, so 4-6, we jump forward in time 5 years later. Then the so-called ”angel” appears out of nowhere again and foretells the death time to a baby. When the time strikes, before the demonic monster kills the newborn, the baby’s parents sacrifice themselves to protect their baby.
So what will this change? On the contrary of the New Truth Society’s discourse, an innocent baby is decreed to be sent to Hell. So, sentences are not connected to sins, etc. This gives us the idea that the victims are chosen at random.

The beloved Netflix series Hellbound is an adaptation of a webtoon. The original webtoon was published on Naver, a South Korean platform, from August 2019 to September 2020. The webtoon is being translated to English and releasing every Tuesday, chapter by chapter.
The writer of the webtoon is Yeon SangHo, directed the popular movie “Train to Busan”. Choi KyuSuk, the illustrator, wrote the webtoon “Songgot” which was later made into the drama “Awl” in 2015.
