The 2021 film CODA follows Ruby, a teenager who is the only hearing person in her family and is isolated from society due to the circumstances of her parents and her brother. The title of the film is an acronym for “child of deaf adults.” That’s why the CODA cast consists mostly of deaf actors and actresses.
