The O’Brien family and their love and professional ties are the focus of the series and we are wondering what is awaiting us in Chesapeake Shores Season 6. Prominent cast member Jesse Metcalfe, who portrayed singer Trace Riley, an on-again, off-again love interest for Ory’s character Abby O’Brien, left the show in the 5th season.
Buckley (iZombie) landed a role as unusual entrepreneur Evan Kincaid, whose hotel project plan with the O’Briens’ construction firm led to a love/hate affair with Abby after Trace’s departure in Episode 2, and we are waiting to see him in Chesapeake Shores Season 6.
Abby left a message in the Season 5 finale, proposing they give a relationship a try, although it’s unclear if she was contacting Evan or her other suitor, instructor Jay.
Other highlights of the program include Kevin telling his parents about his wife Sarah’s miscarriage, Jess’ husband David discovering that his trust fund had been depleted and that the FBI is going to look for his father, Mick motivating his ex-wife Megan to seek employment at The Getty, Bree’s friend Luke came clean when Connor proved he received a false positive on his drug test, and Connor kissed Margaret before falling down from a heart attack!
Looking at how things went down in Season 5, we cannot really hide our excitement for Chesapeake Shores Season 6.

Is Treat Williams leaving Chesapeake Shores?
From our perspective, Mick’s abduction helped to unify the family and concentrate them on what matters most in times of tremendous crisis: each other. Chesapeake Shores is extremely powerful at times since you witness these folks always supporting one another. Every now and again, it’s vital for a family to come back to what’s important, even if it’s not something you want to happen in such a critical situation.
The fantastic news that we can share with you is that Treat will not be leaving the program. In fact, the authors didn’t even have you wait that long for information! Mick was checked out and sent to the hospital less than ten minutes into the occurrence.
Chesapeake Shores Books
Chesapeake Shores books consist of 14 books by Sherryl Woods in total and you can find them as a set in bookstores. The very first novel which gave the inspiration for the show follows a similar storyline. The author of the “New York Times” bestselling Sweet Magnolia series Sherryl Woods introduces readers to Chesapeake Shores, a Maryland community created by Abby O’Brien Winters’ father, who returns after years away to repair the lovely Inn at Eagle Point with her younger sister.
Abby O’Brien Winters hasn’t gone to Chesapeake Shores in years in the books. The Maryland town her father constructed has too many painful memories for Abby, who has too few spare moments due to her busy Wall Street job, the breakdown of her marriage, and lively twin girls.
